Love You Better - rosekiller - T (11k)

Barty had taken his anger out on other people his entire life. Mostly on people he did not care for, he was ashamed of admitting that the most damage - or the only one he cared for - was the one he’d done to the people he loved. Barty had never learned how to love. His mother had tried to teach him, but it had been overshadowed by his father’s indifference. Barty’s love had teeth. It bit anyone who dared come close enough. There had never been a person Barty loved that he hadn’t hurt. He’d done it to his mother when she didn’t deserve to bear the anger he held for his father. He’d done it to Regulus when he needed to let his frustration out during their teenage years. Until Evan. Barty refused to do the same to him. He couldn’t. Not to Evan. Not now that he finally had him where he wanted him.

Every hockey player knows you don’t mess with the goalie if you don’t want to start a fight. Especially when that goalie is Evan Rosier, otherwise you might incite the ire of one of the best defensemen in the country, Barty Crouch Jr. The most feared player due to his strength, unpredictability and willingness to do whatever it takes to stop anyone from reaching his goalie.

I'm living for the Dorcas/Mary interactions on fire on fire this fandom was severely lacking some black love and they're my fave girls aaaaa
