Osomatsu-san gift giving headcanons
Merry Christmas, here’s my garbage pile of head canons
Osomatsu: if possible, he'll mooch off of someone else (usually Choromatsu). If he can't, he goes to the convenience store to buy whatever he think appeals to his brothers. Usually, just a six pack of beer for all of them to split. He never spends over $25 in total.
Karamatsu: REALLY good at finding gifts for his brothers. Like scary good, he can pin point what each of his brothers wants on December 1st. The only problem is actually buying the gifts, as he's broke. Usually, he buys one nice present for one of them, and the rest get Karamastu Gear. He spends about $50 total.
Choromatsu: He orders his presents off of Amazon a week before Christmas. He buys the most generic, but most practical thing for each of his brothers. Osomatsu has more beer coolers than he can count, Karamatsu always gets bedazzler refills, cans of tuna for Ichi, baseball cards for Jyushi, and a pair of headphones for Totty. He begrudgingly spends about $75 total.
Ichimatsu: Hates Christmas shopping. Loathes it, puts it off as much as humanly possible. The anxiety of going out and finding presents for his brothers is often really stressful for him and he over thinks everything to the max. In the end, he gets $5 gift cards to Subataa for each of them. He never spends more than $25 total.
Jysuhimatsu: It’s a Christmas miracle if he spends any money. He loves the idea of gift giving, but like the rest of his brothers, he’s flat broke. So, he puts aside a day to look around the city for cool (but free things). Often, this ends up being a cool rock, a slug, a collection of fallen buttons, etc. His heart is in the right place though!!
Todomatsu: Bold of you to assume Todomatsu would buy his brothers gifts. (I’m kidding thats my son) Todomatsu is in about the same boat as Choromatsu, where he usually puts off buying gifts until about a week before. Instead of online shopping though, he’s usually able to make it a date thing with Atsushi or some girls from mixers. More often than not, he’s sending subtle messages with his gifts. If a brother is smelling particularly bad, their present ends up being deodorant. Like Choromatsu, his total ends up being about $75.

Kurami: *stretched out relaxing on the balcony that overlooks the Matsuno house. Sees Hoshiko and Karamatsu flirting and being shy on the street below and snickers* Heh... Hoshiko and Kara, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G- *feels a rumbling nearby and nearly falls out of her chair only to see the rest of the Matsuno brothers appear in the window of their bedroom to look out*
Matsus: WHAT?! *glares dangerously down at Karamatsu who flinches with a horrified look and immediately starts bolting down the street*
Kurami: *watches as the brothers pile out of the house with weapons to chase after him* Well, looks like I just signed his death certificate... Sorry, Sis. *goes back to relaxing* He was a good man...
Hoshiko: KURAMI, WTH?! *bolts after the guys* HEEL! ALL OF YOU! SIT! STAY! GUUUUUYS! DON’T KILL HIM! *randomly screams like Donald Duck* STOP IT!
Kurami: *crosses legs* He’ll be fiiiiine. He knew the risks.

All Is Fair In Love And War
The Matsuno brothers reacting to having a crush on/loving the same girl.
Osomatsu grinned deviously, forming plans in his mind about how he was going to win you over. He was the oldest, therefor he obviously deserved to be the first to get a girlfriend. Or at least that was his logic. He is willing to admit to the fact that he may not be the nicest person ever and has definitely done some…. Not so nice things. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t at least deserve a shot with you, right? At the least he was going to try. If he was going to let the girl of his dreams slip through his fingers without putting up a fight then what kind of man would he be? He deserved you. He wanted you.
“They better watch out, I have my mind made up and I’m going to get what I want one way or another.”
Karamatsu had found himself on the bridge he is usually perched at to catch one of his ‘Karamatsu Girls’, but currently there was only one girl on his mind. Looking down at the water, he smiled wide. He wasn’t usually persistent when it came to women. If a girl didn’t seem to like him, he would let it go and try to ignore the sting, moving on quickly, but not this time. He had a chance with you, and he was going to take it. A determined look shone in his eyes at the thought of you. Kara refused to give up this time, he wasn’t going to allow one of his brothers to swoop in and steal you without getting a say in it. With this new-found courage, he walked off the bridge. No flirting with strangers today, or tomorrow, or the day after that. He had his heart set on you.
“I’m coming to win your heart my Karamatsu Girl, my love for you is stronger than anything my brothers have in store.”
Choromatsu sat at home twiddling his thumbs. He couldn’t get you off his mind no matter how hard he tried. He couldn’t help but be sad that when he finally finds a girl he genuinely likes, maybe even love, all of his brothers also like her. What luck, right? His insecurities started to get to him a bit as he thought about how maybe it was for the best. It’s not like he would be good enough to date you anyway. You would be better off without him. His thoughts came to a halt as he came to a realization. Why shouldn’t he try? He isn’t that bad. He is more mature than his brothers. He gets to be selfish this one time. He owes it to himself to be selfish. A surge of happiness and determination came over him.
“I deserve happiness just as much as them. I have a chance, and I’m not wasting it. Y/N, just you wait.”
Ichimatsu, similar to his older brother, was having self-depreciating thoughts. You were like a goddess to him. A light in his dark world, and even though he wouldn’t admit it, he was head over heels in love with you. Why should trash like him even get to glance in your direction? Such a gorgeous and kind person doesn’t deserve the burden of having to deal with him. He walked into one of his usual alleyways, sitting against the wall of a building. A couple of stray cats came out of hiding to nuzzle up against him. He fed them as always. He tried to ignore the silent tears dripping down his face. As tough as Ichi’s shell is, a softer side came out whenever something had to do with you. He wanted you to be happy and he didn’t think he could ever bring you that.
“I’m sorry Y/N. What’s the point of trying when I don’t have a chance? I hope you’re happy with whoever you choose.”
Jyushimatsu sat on swing at of his favorite parks, but he usual smile was absent. Instead he had an expression of deep thought. He was extremely conflicted on what to do. On one hand he really did love you and wanted to be with you more than anything, but on the other hand he wanted the best for his brothers and wanted them to be happy. He cared for his brothers and didn’t want to steal you from them, at the same time he has never met someone more perfect. He let out a breath and let his normally bright grin return to his face. He had made the decision to pursue you. His brothers still had a chance to win your heart, but they would have to beat him to it.
“Sorry guys, but I won’t lose her that easy! Haha I really hope Y/N loves me back!”
Todomatsu kept getting distracted while working his job at the café. His mind would wander off to fantasies of you picking him over his brothers. After his shift, he started his tread back home. Totty was never one to let his brothers win, and now wasn’t an exception. You were just the most adorable thing he has ever laid eyes on, and if his older brothers think they’re going to take that from him, they had another thing coming. He already has plans formulating in his head. Totty knew how to get what he wants, and you’re his target now.
“Y/N you’re just too cute, how could I not want you for myself? It’s okay to be greedy once and a while, right?”
