(The start of this takes place about a hour or less after 'Sun and Moon's New Neighbor)
Ruin's POV 🎭
My gosh, Moon is a horrible house guest! I told him to leave 4 times and Sun still had to drag him out! And he was trying to tell me not to sprail? Ha! Easier said than done! And to be honest I'm kinda annoyed that Tiger Rock mentioned I was spiraling often. You know what, I may have said I don't drink but it won't hurt to get drunk for once. I'll just go to the bar.
*after arriving at a bar because I have no idea how to write that. Never been to one or seen one*
Hm. I probably shouldn't have gone to a bar alone. Oh well. I end up kinda auto piloting through everything, buying a beer, and noticing Solar nearby. I phase out for a while and next thing I realize, I'm drunk
Solar's POV ⚙️
Is that Ruin wobbling over here? He seems wasted. Wait. He never drinks. Before I finish my thought, Ruin drunkenly says "Hey Solar" he's also blushing intensely. I quickly say "Not interested" to which he kinda sulks and mumbles "I was just gonna ask to sit with you since I'm alone." He's alone? And probably his first time at a bar and he's a sad drunk? Sometimes I question his claimed intelligence. "Fine" I sigh "why are you even drunk?" He starts to ramble about how Moon's apparently a horrible guest and how Tiger Rock told Sun and Moon about how he spirals often, while I sip my whiskey. He seems significantly less disturbed about Sun finding out, and there's probably a reason for that but I don't ask about that. Instead I make the mistake of asking "what were you spiraling about" and surprisingly he actually responds, saying "a lot... for example...." They initially start with more obvious reasons like when he used the murder device, but before I know it, they're completely wasted, telling their backstory and I'm listening, barely not drunk and with them holding one of my hands like a lifeline. I end up dragging him to my house because I don’t know his address and he can’t get home like this.
THE NEXT DAY
Ruin's POV 🎭
Ugh... so this is what a hangover feels like... Wait. This looks like the celestial family's house! And that's Solar across the room "uhm- I assure you anything that happened last night was purely unintentional. I was drunk." I stammer before asking "why am here anyways?" This is certainly not how I planned to start my day. "I know you were drunk. You waddled over to me and said you were lonely, which you'd never do normally" Solar sighs, though I just listen, slightly embarrassed "Since you were for some reason ALONE IN A BAR for some reason so I let you stay. I asked why you were sad since you're apparently a really sad drunk and you told me about Moon's horrible house guest and how apparently Tiger Rock told Moon that you had been spiraling often. So for some reason I asked you what you had been spiraling for some reason, and you actually replied, starting with the obvious thing of using the device you used but ended up telling me your whole backstory." Oh s%$!#.
How tf do I lie my way out of this "And how do you know it's not just some ridiculous story I made up while drunk dear Solar?" I say calmly to which Solar replies “you just... sounded more genuine. Your accent sounded way more natural even though your speech was slurred, your voice was slightly high, you kinda stuttered. And also, I don't think your imagination is that vivid." I scoff. "And what was this 'vivid' story I told you about, Solar?" When I ask this he gets all serious. Probably a bad sign. He gently (or at least he's attempting to sound gentle) says, "You described watching a close friend get beat up then torn apart." I frantically try to make an excuse but I'm too shook and stunned to actually form words and air feeling tight, though I control it. I fight off memories, and end up after a small time just leaning against Solar as I shake. He lets me kinda hide against him for a few minutes. "Thanks" I reluctantly admit. There’s a calm quiet for a while as we kinda lean or eachother that I like more then I’ll ever admit
