His soft lips just barely touch your cheek, nose grazing your skin as he lingers before pulling away. His face flushes soft pink, accentuating his freckles and making his green eyes appear brighter, almost sparkling. He doesn’t say anything at first, aware of the fact that his tongue will get twisted and his face will flush darker if he tries. He’s not as smooth and charming as some of his brothers, another fact he’s a little disgruntled by, but he makes it work. His forehead touches yours, his hand finding the back of your head to hold you still, hold you close. Green eyes meet yours, so full of mirth and patience that always seems to surprise you. He tilts his head slightly, eyes fluttering closed as his lips finally touch yours for the first time. Your nerves are on fire, palms damp, you almost forget to close your eyes as you kiss him back shyly. He smiles against your lips, that sweet and boyish grin that you’ve known since you were elflings.
“Took you long enough…” you teased
“Good night already.”
