Slade = Daddy's Boy

bcuz his mom wasn't around long enough + his dad may have done terrible things to him but was also the only actual parent Slade really remembers well enough

Adeline = Daddy's Girl

I have a whole long thing about her past, but basically once she hit her teens her and her mom just had a downward spiral of a relationship while Addy always deeply admired her father and ended up joining the military in his honor after the failure of her first marriage

Grant = Daddy's Boy

idolized Slade as a kid and his disillusionment from that idolization did not kill his admiration, it just turned it to something tragic, caustic and ugly (although, Mama's Boy by Dominic Fike is a grant song)

Joey = Mama's Boy

him and Addy were mother-son goals up until his own disillusionments and other issues. Grant also actually canonically called him a Mama's Boy [as an insult] during childhood. It's funny, because no one would ever mistake Grant for anything less than Slade's son. But the same is true for Joey. Even if you are a mama's boy, you your daddy's son.

Rose = Daddy's Girl

ironically, her case mirrors Slade's. Lilian passes on too soon, but Rose was certainly her mother's daughter through and through. As much as Lilian hoped that might save her, it does not. In some odd ways, Rose has something a lot of characters don't: a father that really does love her who still makes every wrong choice towards her along the road of that love.

I’m not rich enough to know if this is right, but in the jet picture Valtteri posted I think Toto is standing in front of a bed (I think it’s a sheet anyway?) but because it’s us my immediate thought was wow who got their diaper changed and kisses all over then sent back out for a family photo- 🦇

Fixated on how big smiled and squinting both George and Carmen are. Compared to Mama susie and papa toto, and the older boys lewis and valtteri, theyre the lil boyf and girlf babies needing to be padded up for the big plane ride home :3

Thinking about the Mercfamily prompt and how Susie and Toto should be taking their boys to HK Disneyland this week for a treat before their race for doing so well last weekend, and both of them in their Mickey ears and matching sweaters and being whiny boys every time they have to have their diapers checked and Kimi crying when Mama Susie has to take him out of the queue for their next ride to get his messy diaper changed 😌 and both boys getting to choose a new toy at the end of the day for being good - 🎀
