;; METAMORPHISM ;;
Hi! This is my first time making a coining post and it's for something pretty big & personal to me, so let's hope i do this justice! This post is broken into 4 parts — What Metamorphism is, the difference between it and Otherkinity, how it can present, and a (To Be Added) FAQ. Metahumanity will be in a seperate post due to its 18+ nature.
Just as a disclaimer ; These terms do not inherently indulge in plurality of any kind, and are made by an entity with endo-nuanced & anti-harassment views. We do request that endogenics & their supporters do NOT use this term. Though I cannot control who uses my terms, please remember this as a concept/identity is very personal to me, and I request this be respected. Questions are more than welcomed so long as they are respectful.
Now, let us get started... what even is Metamorphism?

Ductile deformation in metamorphic rocks
Blue Ridge, near Cañon City, CO
June, 2023
I've discovered a metamorphic contact aureole in my local area. The image of the most rocks/pebbles is the full collection of samples.
Pretties include agates, Carnelian, fossilised wood, Hornfels, Quartzite and other beauties.
Hello ! Has someone already asked you about your most hated rock ? The rock that annoys you the most ? The harder rock(s) to study ? Have a great day !
Hi! Actually, not until now. I do not have a ‘hated rock’, as in every rock an interesting story can be found. But if I had to pick one, I think it would be a marble.
Marble is a metamorphic rock which originally was a limestone (a sedimentary rock made up of fossils of ancient sea creatures) that was transformed/recrystallised by intense heat and pressure. Because of this metamorphic transformation, fossils in limestone rock are often destroyed and much of the rock’s earlier history is erased. But of course, that’s not to say that there is nothing that can be done with it!
Thanks for your question! Dr Rock.
