Im not finished with my reread of TDC yet, but so far, the only two people Thomas has named as his "best friends" are Newt and Minho... Take this knowledge however you will

Minho being the normal-only-by-comparison qp third is so important to the entire dynamic.

He has seen Thomas kill people for Newt and himself when need be and ruffled his hair for it (but never called him a good boy – that is a Newt Only Privilege).

He has been, very rarely, lightly bitten by Newt when he's gone in for a hug and Newt’s face is right by his shoulder and he gets a gentle(ish) nip through his shirt.

"How are you okay with that?" people ask.

"I'd rather be brought the body than be the body," Minho replies.

what if when they jump out of the window after rescuing Minho, one of the WCKD guards or Janson throws one of those stun grenade thingies into the pool and one of them gets affected and cpr and mouth to mouth this has a lot of potential for any of the ships maybe even incorporate Gally if you want
