Lesbian zombies of various “strains” (representing different types of movie zombies) hunting, fighting, and eating human boys in the apocalypse.

Happy Trans Day Of Visibility! This is a perfect time to let you know that, to celebrate my HRT appointment, I made a new lyric game about transitioning. Have a look!

The six Strains of Zombies in my mini TTRPG Zombians.
Two player, no GM, antagonistic TTRPG concept.
One player is the Monster. An unwilling victim… and now a perpetrator of violence and horror, clinging to survival and to who they were.
The other player is the Hunter. A loved one of the “victim” who now must hunt them so they may die as a human, protect others, and preserve their loved one’s memory.
I made a little something for the 36-word RPG Jam. It's a vent project, but there is hope, too. It's called "Then Try Again".
Just because it can't die doesn't mean it can't be beaten in other ways.
If you like this, be sure to rate the game on itchio--it helps! https://norbez.itch.io/then-try-again
Dreamation 2025: Day 4 (Sunday, 2/23/25)
(I meant to post this sooner but didn't oops! Here it is now!)
So this weekend, I'm at a local TTRPG convention called Dreamation. I'm attending and running some games. I figured I'd make some blog posts about my experience, day by day! This is for Day 4, Sunday, the last day. I'm writing these with Ellipsus btw!
After getting plenty of sleep, I prepared to run another game of i'm sorry did you say street magic! This game also had 9 people in it, and it was interesting to see the similarities and differences from yesterday's game. Both had cities whose neighborhoods moved & shifted. But this was a sci-fi ship-planet-thing full of robots who went about their programmed duties, unable to see the humans who had awoken from cryosleep.
I did make a few tweaks compared to the day before—mainly, I asked players to focus on making neighborhoods & landmarks primarily during the first round, and to make residents during the second round. This resulted in only two residents being created in the end, and there were much more neighborhoods & landmarks. Definitely something I want to think on as I run this game more.
Here's what the city looked like before the final round:
In the final round, the player decided that the city-changing event was that the ship reached its final destination. That was something I never would have thought of—that's why I like this game so much. People's creativity really blooms here, and together, they make something they couldn't hav made alone.
I was supposed to have a Pathfinder game after this, in the afternoon. I've never played Pathfinder before. Unfortunately, not enough people showed up to play, so I suppose my first Pathfinder experience will have to wait. They did give me a voucher for a online game store as an apology, so that was nice at least.
And that was basically my time at Dreamation! Kind of anticlimatic ending, but hey, the rest of the weekend was great, so that makes up for it. I had a great time, and I definitely want to come back next year! Maybe I'll run some more games, too!
Thanks for reading my blogs about this experience!
Help me decide which indie game batches to run at the Dexlite TTRPG convention in July!
Hey! So my plan for Dexlite is to run 4 short, 1 hour games in one 4 hour session. I want to do this at least 2 times (so at least two 4 hour sessions of 4 games). I've sorted games based on their themes/gameplay. Which ones appeal to y'all most?
What indie game batch's theme appeals to you most? Poll ends in 3 days!
Creative games (drawing, rhyming, etc)
Horror games (spooky, liminal, etc)
Magic games (fairies, magical girls, etc)
Queer games (queer identity, gay pride, etc)
Silly games (goofy, funny, etc)
Thoughtful games (deals with subjects like death, trauma, etc)
I made a little journaling game for the Shitpost TTRPG Jam & Bookmark Microgame-jam 2024: Jersey Devils Don't Pump Gas! You meet the Jersey Devil in PA, and they cannot pump their gas because they're a Jersey girl/boy/person.
Enjoy! Link to download here! Text-only version under the read more!
