I'll get back to posting plants soon friends, I promise, but I wanted to share this real quickly. This weekend I conquered some fears and apprehensions and led a chant to about a hundred or so people. I like being part of the pack and being loud within the pack, but I clam up when someone asks me to lead. But #mikepence was on my city and that was a good enough reason to conquer anxieties and lead people on a chant of, "Tell me what democracy looks like! (This is what democracy looks like!)" It's really empowering, I've discovered when a whole bunch of strangers respond to your leadership in solidarity for women's rights, access to affordable health care, basic human rights, and accountability in government. Go you! All of you who stand up for what is right, thank you. Keep at it. Trying to discover the little things that bring me joy and spend less time on my phone, because I am addicted to it and its not bringing me so much joy, instead its creating an unhealthy dependency. This dependency is not bringing me much joy and killing my productivity.

Last year I started working in this small sketchbook for The Sketchbook Project. I'm almost done filling it out and will be posting it soon, but not before I scan the pages. It's the first time I actively curated a book, based on my trip home last August. And I'm excited to take part in The Canvas Project this year with my buddy @lucasdurham1000 (who I pushed into doing with me 😉). I plan to prep my mini canvas with some Daniel Smith watercolor ground before I work on it. Down 0.9!

Weighed in yesterday, and noticed that I am sitting at EXACTLY 275.0. I’m a big guy, and I started losing weight in early January. I tend to lose about a pound a week, but this one made me happy because it’s my first big milestone! 15 pounds gone! :D

Next up: 260! Bring it on!
