I just realized I blew past my first major goal weight!!!
216.6 pounds was the weight i was when I gave birth to my second child.
Iām 6 pounds below that as of today!!!
Next goal is a week or two away from being reached!!!
206 pounds was how much I weighed the day I gave birth to my first child.
Before Christmas I will be reaching my third goal!
199.9 pounds. I have not seen a 1 at the front of my weight since the trauma of the ābeastā. Reaching that number will be emotional for me and I fully believe for the first time that itās less than a month away. I have it this time. Noom rocks

Non scale victory
Had a huge non scale victory yesterday! Yesterday was hard...like my child was in the hospital with a temperature of 40ā²c (104ā²F) WITH ADVIL in him with no answer, doctors not interested in figuring out cause and trying to push us home (seriously IĀ had to fight to get tests run).Ā Lack of sleep.Ā Stressful day at work.Ā Stressful day overall.Ā Literally almost peed myself in the emergency room because my sick boy was crying so hard for me to hold him and I was alone.Ā Doctor threw a prescription of antibiotics at us to get me to leave because he didnāt care about finding the answers.Ā Ā
When I was unable to exercise due to health issues I developed quite the bad emotional eating habit.Ā I had no other outlet; my arms even hurt too bad to paint a picture most days.Ā Literally all I could do was curl in a ball crying in pain, so I would eat.Ā It got to the point where lack of sleep meant pizza night.Ā Hard day at work meant detour for a gluten free poutine (I hate that I know that Mcdonalds Canada has celiac safe poutine at stand alone mcdonalds haha).Ā Bad day meant sitting after the kids went to bed and eating until I felt sick.Ā
Enter noom.Ā Having someone talk to me about my food logs, and doing the daily quizes/reading the daily articles with tips and tricks has really been helping me.Ā Yesterday would have been a poutine day, pizza supper, and eat all of the kids gluten free halloween candy kinda day.Ā But instead when me and the munchkin got home from the hospital we curled up in bed for a nap to solve the fatigue.Ā When i woke up, I watched a funny show to lift our moods.Ā I called my Mom to vent so I could get my feelings out/make an action plan for how to help my son.Ā I stuck to my eating plan, and honestly by the end of the day I felt so much better because I took positive actions to deal with the issues instead of pushing them down with food.Ā Ā
I know I may not win every battle with emotional eating, but I now know I will win the war.Ā Ā

Iāve started a new chapter in my journey. I realized that between my health issues, and the mental blocks that have come from my physical/emotional health struggles I cannot do this on my own.Ā Ā
So Iāve started Noom.Ā Ā Iām on day 7 right now and I have now lost 5.3 pounds (in the first week!).Ā Ā
I like that itās not a diet.Ā Itās about creating healthy lifestyle changes and good habits for life.Ā Ā
I like the accountability of having someone to weigh in with, of someone who is checking on my food logs and helping me navigate it in a non pushy but helpful way.
I like that there are articles and quizzes with study based facts and information targeted to my struggles.Ā
This is the first time in a long time iāve been able to focus on my health for a full week straight- any my motivation isnāt going down.Ā If anything itās increasing with each day.Ā Itās funny, I saw a post in my tumblr feed of a 35th birthday...and I immediately thoughtĀ āwow I am going to be so fit by my next birthdayā...notĀ āi hope i amā orĀ āIād like to be fitā....I finally believe i can do this.Ā Ā
This doesnāt feel like a new chapter in my fitness journey, it feels like Iām starting a whole new book.Ā I canāt wait to see where noom takes me.

Itās #mealprepsunday on a holiday Monday. Sheet pan lemon herb chicken with roasted sweet potatoes, asparagus and broccoli! Preheat to 400āf. Chop sweet potato into fry shapes, drizzle with olive oil and bake for 20 min. Add chopped asparagus, and broccoli (drizzle with olive oil), place chicken (cut into bite size pieces) on top of veggies. Zest one lemon on top of everything, then squeeze its juices over. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Bake 15-25 min (until chicken cooked through).
