The Steelix he was up against was thrashing about wildly, forcing Ceruledge to leap back if he wanted to avoid taking damage. The fact that it was rampaging was odd enough, and it lacked any outward signs of being influenced by Laquium, but...That didn't matter, when the surrounding ecosystem could be in danger all the same.

It was, frankly, a miracle that it hadn't used a Ground-type Move on his partner yet...But, he couldn't rely on luck to get him out of this situation. He'd have to rely on this stranger...Which, admittedly, Amethio wasn't the biggest fan of. Unfortunately, the situation all but demanded it...And so, he'd choose to take a gamble, looking towards Yris and nodding curtly.

"I'm just grateful for the help...! This Steelix isn't going to stop rampaging at this rate! Madam, work with me! If we combine our Pokémon's strengths, we should be able to faint it! My Ceruledge and I can run as a distraction, if you need us to!"

The world of nightmares. In both body and mind now. If Spinel was able to spare even one thought, he would most likely find the sights he is experiencing horrifying, yet fascinating at the same time. He's perhaps 'lucky' that he lacked the ability to acknowledge the suffering he was undergoing every second, seemingly without end.

Until...

His eyes cleared slightly, though his vision was still partly clouded in black as he laid face down on the floor. He felt the tug of something trying to drag him back from what had happened, but it wasn't a complete success.

Then the strange inhuman shape in front of him began to glow, to change, and he felt the psychic hold on him strengthen greatly as a result. His eyes cleared further, mind recovering enough to at least partly remember his circumstances as he pushed himself up, but there was still much missing.

And... some the memories which did return, they were the ones he lost long ago... Those old co-workers that this place tormented him with, a vision of 'sacrifice'. That word once again coming to the surface.

But Mega Malamar would soon be interrupted...

"UMBRI!!"

Umbreon hissed next to Yris, rushing forward and then stopping. Something must have taken out that bridge... They were close, but not at the correct place. Spinel must have moved from the Exceed main office.

It could detect his scent nearby, as well as another awful presence. From back then. Umbreon is quick to start hissing. Yris said she would do her best, but the horrors here seemed worse than they ever imagined and...

"BREON!"

"Oh?" Is that what she wanted? Interesting. Many would say that was quite a crud request to make of a god, but who is Selene if not loving of his subjects? He steps closer, slowly, gently enclosing his hand around one of Yris' own.

"Close your eyes, please."

The demand came off more as a suggestion with the softness by which he spoke it, & he merely waited for compliance. And once she had, his free hand reached for his mask, removing it, so that the pointed nose of it would not stab into her. From there he was free to move his face closer to his, lips gentle, never pressuring over overwhelming, as light to Yris' own lips as she would been when healing a wound; ghosting just so across the corner of her mouth.

Perhaps this is what that was. A healing of the moon princess's spirit that has endured so much.

Harsh words by a man at a Cafe table, trying to drink something warm while also trying to keep said drink away from a pissed off little fairy.

Joan, that Floette who so rudely pointed the stranger out, makes a break for his mocha. He lifts it out of reach before she gets there.

At the unexpected tug, he pauses. He could already tell she was the kind of person who wouldn't ask for help if she could avoid it, a mindset he was all too familiar with. Plumeria had discovered the best way to get him to accept assistance was to nonchalantly leave him care items, so maybe he'd learned a thing or two...

"No can fight da wind, but yeah. I mean what I wen tell. My Pokemon stay in top form, we can keep one eye on ya."

Yris' mocha cayenne coffee was infamous around Lumiose, especially as she would mix in the spice and bit of chocolate right in front of people, horrifying them. Blue had jokingly mentioned about her drinking so much of it, not realizing until later that Yris really did exist on no sleep and a concoction she's sure her father would have happily thrown out of a window, despite being a waste. The bottle of water and proper sandwich delivered to her were accepted and she dutifully ate and drank them in front of the other woman. All the while feeling embarrassed at being treated like a little kid.

"Hmmmm.... she maay have referenced the habit the last time I saw Blue," Lynn remarked thoughtfully inclining her head. Her tone didn't sound so certain. Was that a topic that was brought up? Something about an odd way of mixing coffee and spices...

Oh! That's right. And admittedly she was a little guilty that she didn't bring those ingredients instead of the simple sandwich and water combo. Trying to make her way around the Kalosian grocery stores during the holiday rush was overwhelming to say the least. So she picked up whatever was easiest to grab.

"It was umm something like a spicy hot cocoa, wasn't it?" she asked. Instinctively she sat near Yris. As if it was part of her own habit to be sure food wasn't exactly going to waste. If they rejected, Lynn would have much rather taken the leftovers back with her.

Sensing this embarrassment, Lynn decided to give a more reassuring suggestion. "Hey, what if you teach me how to make that drink? I mean it actually sounds it would have been popular around Alola ~" After all, she did have a penchant for sweet yet spicy treats.
