Charlie&Laura - "Come here, dumbass!"

---
"Come here, dumbass!" Charlie stopped what she was doing, looking up from the book she was reading. Leaning over her book, into her personal space, was Laura, a big dopey smile on their face. Closing the book slowly, while maintaining eye contact, she asked, "Why would I do that? You're being rude." Laura put her hand on the closed book and pushed it out of the way. They grabbed Charlie's hand and pulled her up and away from the table. "You love me, that's why." She answered quickly, pulling their girlfriend along toward the couch she'd been sitting at for the last hour, picking at their guitar. "I want you to hear what I came up with!" They guided Charlie to the couch, kissed her cheek, then sat next to her with their guitar in hand. Laura's music was one of Charlie's favorite things in the world -- there was no way she'd miss this. Doesn't mean she can't give her partner a hard time here and now. The shift in Laura's demeanor as she fixed her fingers onto the cords was mesmerizing. The focus in their eyes as they steady their thoughts. And when she starts playing? Charlie falls in love all over again. The opening rhythm is familiar and comforting, then it dipped into something complex, but light in energy. It sounded like going to a park on a sunny day or taking a walk around the lake. Laura embodied the music, fingers dancing across the strings. Charlie was practically breathless as she watched her lover in their element. When she slowed to a stop, Laura looked up at Charlie, big grey eyes shining with excitement. "What did you think?" She asked, setting the guitar aside and scooting closer. "I think I need to add a bit more to the end, stretch it out, but I think I'm ha--"
Charlie interrupted them with a kiss, resting her forehead against Laura's. "I loved it. And I love you." A big smile and a deep blush settle on Laura's face. They stuck out their tongue teasingly, and said, "It's rude to interrupt, Charlie Mae." Laura leaned in for another kiss, however, and Charlie happily complied. "You started it, honey." Charlie retorted, leaning back with a smirk. "I'll finish it." She added with a wink, then got up to go back to her book.
"I love you, too." Laura said softly, watching Charlie walk away, appreciating the view. Turning to the notebook by their side, they added a note at the bottom of their makeshift sheet notes: Charlie Approved!
Laura&Venus - Trapped together, "I'm here, I'm right here."
Laura and Venus are original characters, Power Rangers for a team called Mythic Beasts. Laura belongs to the lovely @madhare0512 <3 I hope you like this! (Sorry it's short!) ---
"Fuck!" Venus shouted, their voice echoing off the cavern walls. "Are you okay, Laura?" They called out, looking around for their teammate. One of those pesky foot soldiers caused a cave in where Venus and Laura had been scouting for materials. In a pained voice, Laura spoke up, "I-I'm alright. A little shaken up." Finding her in some rubble, Venus dashed to their aid. They sat down next to them, immediately investigating for any injuries. "Are you hurt?" The asked, barely able to hear themselves over the ringing in their ears, worsened by the cave in. Seeing panic start to rise in Venus, Laura placed a hand on their arm, then motioned for them to look at her. She signed the word "No," as she spoke it, continuing with, "I'm not hurt; scared." Immediately Venus wrapped Laura into a hug, holding her tight. Neither of them were great in situations like this, both afraid to lose the other, afraid to leave their significant other behind. Words tumbled out of Venus' mouth, and they could only hear about half of them, but they were trying to say, "I'm here, I'm right here. I won't leave you." They hit the button on their communicator, arms still wrapped around Laura. It would light up as though it were working, but they heard nothing on their end. Venus tried hitting the button again and again, hoping it would reach someone. With a gentle hand, Laura stopped Venus. She made them look at her again, and she signed, "They are coming." She then pulled Venus in close for another hug, and with her mouth so close, Venus could vaguely hear her add, "We're gonna make it, Vee!"
