Does Dobson seriously think the struggles several unemployed people are going through during this pandemic don't matter? Nobody's saying things should immediately go back to normal, but exercise caution in reopening schools and non-essential businesses. Contrary to popular belief, the Coronavirus won't go away if everyone stays inside and holds their breath.
Remember, Dobson seems things in the most extreme version of black and white you can imagine. He thinks all Republicans are evil and vile and elsexist, ect ect, so if they’re saying the want to go back to work or want the quarantine to end, its because they’re stupid and ignorant and want everyone to die because Trump. I guarantee you if the majority of Democrats were pushing to have the quarantine end, Dobson would be shouting and ranting about how the president is trying to attack everyone to death and wants the country to burn.
The man will literally believe any conspiracy theory or wild accusation thrown if it’s being made against the side he dislikes. It’s why he can never properly argue his point, because he just parroting whoever he’s trying to appeal to, only dialing it up to eleven. He’s already decided that people wanting to go back to work are “weak” and “stupid” and “incompetent”, and no matter what proof you showed him, he’d just claim you were lying or exaggerating or it’s “the exception to the rule”. Same with how he handles criticism or being told his comic is wrong.
It’s why the people who legitimately try and talk to him and make him understand things got infuriated with him. It’s like trying to debate a brick wall.
