headcanon: sarah i know how much you love angst so this one is for u

listen bucky barnes knows how to suffer, james buchanan barnes knows how to hide a smile, and the winter solider knows how to ignore all the feelings that seem to try and cloud his head while on a mission. so who ever the hell comes out of the grips of hydra (tbh bucky doesnt even know what to call himself) has no concept of feelings or love or hurt or anything like that. he understands that he loves steve, and that dogs make him happy, and that ice cream tastes really good. but he doesnt know why everyone always feels the need to talk or why people from his past are always crying why they talk about him or steve. bruce suggests he gets a dog, so they get bucky a dog. he talks to the big australian shepard a lot and she has his back when he is doing every day stuff like cooking or stress cleaning so that he doesn’t have to worry about people sneaking up on him. they have a system of different barks for different people, there is a strangers bark (tense), friedns bark (normal almost friendly), and steve bark (excited). bucky doesn’t  even realize he is going thru withdraw until he has to scramble out of bed (from the fews hours of sleep he can get) and starts gagging over the bowl, hes shaking and wants to scream and it feel slike he is being hit by a train but of emotions and thoughts. but he was so silent he didn’t wake up steve when he left the bed so Clara (his dog) had to bark to get steve awake in a panic and he rushed to bucky’s side as he heaved and waited for the fever to break. bucky can’t remember feeling this awful but hed imagine losing his arm was on par with this cause god it hurt and it wouldn’t stop hurting and they wouldn’t give him any drugs to stop it. so he just laid on the cold ground and clara had half her body on top of him to try to calm his breathing and his head was in steve’s lap who pet his head and they kept a bucket near by in case bucky needed it. once bucky finally got over the withdraw he could feel his emotions coming back and assaulting him and he had to learn how to feel all over again with the help of steve and clara

headcanon: okay here is the thing naomi… no ,, 

jk okay so bucky is exploring the every day life one day after a mission, its sometime in the 90s and he thinks he’s in st. louis. the last time he was woken from cryo he was in somewhere in texas. he wasn’t really sure of cities or states anymore, he just knew he was still in america because everyone was speaking english and there were a bunch of american flags, albeit at half mass because of whoever was buckys mission. but so bucky hadn’t been back to handlers yet right, so he was trying to blend in and at some sleazy motel he had seen a film… erotic film and this guy had this mustache. and the woman and other man in the film seemed to really like the mustache. so bucky being the player he was back in the 40′s decided it was a good idea to grow one himself. he got a couple looks and even a couple women to come back to the hotel with him. he made sure they were drunk enough to not notice the arm. but he had been off the drugs for long enough that apparently this formed a memory because when he wakes up in 2015 after rescuing that dumb ass blonde from the harbor, he remembers that the mustache got him laid, and lets be real bucky needed a good lay right now. only the stache didn’t get him that just relentless teasing from sam once he and steve found bucky and steve told him it would be better to just shave it off than ask any questions. only sometime between the vw bug and the big fight bucky had time to ask barton about it. who promptly showed him a video, another erotic video and bucky was like that is exactly what i watched back in the 90s. clint couldn’t hold back his laugh and wanda used her powers to stop making him an ass of himself by throwing him from barnes. steve barked out a stop as he really did not appreciate what was going on while he was getting in his damn cap head space. but bucky still didn’t realize it was bad and every time he tried to grow the mustache again sam would laugh and steve would tell bucky to shave because he didn’t like kissing with facial hair (cause steve is actually a fucking princess but he just really didn’t want sam laughing at bucky anymore)

headcanon: oh you mean the most badass women to ever grace us with her prescense okay. Peggy Carter shouldve won person of the year every damn year she was alive, this women could take misogynistic bullshit with stride. for example, but when it came to steve she lost all her cool. She knew steve could take care of his own bullies, and that he had ever since he started being bullied, but after he was gone. Peggy had to defend his honor cause she knew he would’ve done it for her. Everyone knew not to bring up captain rogers in the prescnese of peggy incase you were looking to get decked or for her to leave. granted sometimes men high in power would say something about steve just in hopes she would leave, but peggy was a profesional and would just say that steve was the better man than them (her fist was clenched behind her back in hopes to not punch the lights out of any commanding officers) hell peggy would’ve taken out a president if they bad mouthed about her love, he changed her life so she had to save his legacy, in the matter that she knew he would approve of

headcanon: listen everybody loves poe dameron, like that swave smooth facade is just poe thru and thru, like hed be able to charm a stormtrooper (finn is off in the distance somewhere yelling about that he did) but anyway he even fucking charms the droids so when one is being sassy or something poe swoops in and calms them. he basically has the rebel base wired and get anything he wants at any point in time, its like he is the only pregnant women to ever live thats how many people want to make sure poe is happy and safe. and the driods always follow him around and bb8 is like their lil ball leader cause him and poe are bffs and all the droids want to be bb8. exceot r2 has yet to approach him, but in time even the old stubborn droid will warm up to wonderfulness that is poe dameron

headcanon: poe is the type of rebel that looked up to luke, but like not even just because luke saved the galaxy from darth vader but just because he would die for han and leia and he loves them so much and r2 was his best friend and something about that really resonates with poe. and so when rey and luke come back to the rebel base poe is just so star struck and leia often laughs at him cause hes being so ridiculous about it. until one day she calls poe over and introduces them and poe tries his best to act all tough and macho but just fails cause its luke fucKING skywalker , how was he supposed to keep his cool. luke just laughed and let it slide and thanked him for being a great pilot, he was one too. poe internally screamed for about 4 hours after that

✨ a headcannon about sam wilson?

headcanon: sammy boy !!!, idk if this is true but i imagine sam as southern boy with a big ass family and he can make a mean as breakfast, like he goes all out waffles, bacon, omlettes, grits, hes got everything. and thats like a normal morning. but like when he isnt cooking breakfast his mama’s recipe is verbally sparing with nat, no one knows if its a weird flirting thing or they are trying to prove who has more imagination and cunning to get at one another. sam is also the world’s biggest stucky shipper even if he’d never tell bucky that (because he hates him). sam is also the reason for avengers karaoke night which has become a monthly adventure cause tbh just about everyone wants to hear sam sing his heart out to nat (who are totally not flirting). also sammy is always lowkey excited whenever scott comes around but he cant be a dork and show it so he tries really hard to supress it but of course the ex soviet spies are just like sam CALM THE FUCK DOWN ITS JUST SCOTT

✨ could u pls share a hc about my beloved bby boy the only light and joy in my life pre-serum steve?? 😍

headcanon: pre-serum stevie is all tough at school and in the streets and tries to use it scare off those damn bullies. until these dumb hot heads feel the fucking need to beat him up and you know stevie just takes it till they tire themselves out and he limps home to the apartment him and bucky now share. so basically he gets back and bucky is still at work so he cleans himself up (an expert thanks to sarah for teaching him how to do it himself because she got tired of doing it). once he is all patched up he makes a stew with whatever they have lying around which isnt much but steve is creative and can make anything taste like 100 bucks (bucky likes to tell him thats why he keeps him around). and then steve reads and book outside on the fire escape at night with a little candle because its calming even with all the brooklyn city sounds and sometimes a neighborhood cat comes up to great him and steve tries to pet him but bucky is really much better at he. Stevie just observes and sketches and stays in the shadows if he needs to get out there and stand his ground he will but he spent most of the time being invisible because it was easier that way
