THROUPLE | bf!yusion x reader relationship thoughts

if someone told you, that one day you’d be going out with two boys at the same time you would’ve laughed at them. you never really expected to have even one in the first place, let alone two but it’s not like you’re complaining.

you started going out with yushi at first. everything was great with him, he was fun, loving, quirky but in an adorable way, and on top of everything the sex was great too. you really had nothing to complain about, yet you still felt like something was missing.

it has all started to make sense when you got closer to sion. he was so easy to be around, his caring nature and silly personality made it really easy to get along with him (and eventually fall for him), and the more time you’ve spent with him the more you had fallen for him.

the feeling was mutual though. there were countless times when your little one on one hangouts ended up in heated makeout sessions, and him whispering sweet confessions against your lips, and you would lie if you didn’t every single moment of it. oh you were so screwed.

you felt horrible. you had the sweetest and most perfect boy as your lover, yet you still developed feelings for another person, and cheat on said boyfriend in the process. the thought of confessing this to yushi ate you alive, the last thing you wanted to do was hurting him.

you spent days thinking about how to even bring this up with him. “yushi i’m so sorry, but i have feelings for your best friend, i even made out with him a couple times, but i also have feelings for you. how about we all date each other?” this is actually stupid. how could he even agree to be a throuple, this is all insane. this and similar thoughts have been ravaging your brain for a while, when you decided you would come clean about your feelings.

the journey to their shared apartment was nerve wracking. you just prayed that sion wouldn’t be home, so he didn’t laugh in your face right then and there. still, sion making fun of you would hurt less than you breaking yushi’s heart.

when you got to the door and knocked you very much contemplated turning back, and ignoring your feelings for sion. but you could already hear the footsteps approaching the door, and you knew you couldn’t back out of this.

the door opened, revealing your sweet boyfriend, but something was off about him. his hair was slightly messy, lips unusually plump and glossy. you knew this look of him too well, and when you spotted an equally disheveled sion trying to sneak back to his room it all finally clicked.

your jaw was on the floor. your boyfriend was having an affair with the same boy you had an affair with. this is total madness. yushi realized you pieced the puzzle together, and was about to explain himself, but before he could say anything sion had already started talking.

he told yushi everything about him and you, and you about him and yushi. you still couldn’t process that you and your boyfriend were having an affair with the same person. a part of you was relieved, since you two were technically even now, but another part of you was scared of what would happen next.

your debrief session was full of tears and emotions, ending with the agreement that you would try giving this throuple thing a chance. at the end sion gave you some space to talk everything through. you and yushi spent those minutes holding each other as you apologized for keeping your little adventure a secret from the other.

from that day you suddenly had not one but two boyfriends. at first it was kinda weird, receiving double amount of love and attention, but who are you to complain.

THE ACTUAL RELATIONSHIP

love languages:

being in a relationship with those two is definitely a beautiful experience. yushi, whose love is more like on the quieter side will always express his love for the both of you with small acts of service and physical touch, though he’s not that big on PDA, once you guys are in private he will transform into the clingiest person ever.

sion on the other hand loves loud. he’s always vocal about how in love he is with the both of you, and is not afraid to show off that enormous love of his.

and as for you, you try your best to adapt to your boyfriends, though quality time is one of your main love languages. being able to spend time with your lovers means the world to you, and even if it’s just you doing your own things in each other’s presence nothing could ever top that.

conflict resolution:

the glue of your relationship is definitely yushi. he’s always the one initiating to talk things through instead of bottling everything up. besides, he’s a really straightforward person, and he values peace more than anything.

it’s not that common for you to get into heavy arguments with any of them, but if it happens once in a blue moon it’s definitely between you and sion. it’s not that he’s is a violent person, but arguments can get really heated with him. though at the end of the day (and with the help of your beloved yushi) you will always make up in no time.

intimacy:

intimacy with them is always a surprise, you can never know what to expect. since all three of you are somewhat switches you can truly never tell how would things go in bed.

despite being a switch himself, sion likes to be in control. guiding your hands where he wants them to be, talking you through everything, and showering you with praises. but he’s not one to miss out on teasing, especially when it comes to yushi. he would do anything just to see your pretty boyfriend squirming under his touch.

but sion’s love for control doesn’t mean that he doesn’t like being bent over by you or yushi.

yushi might be a switch, but he leans heavily towards being submissive. he loves being praised, and he loves being adored. he’s a total freak though, and doesn’t mind going all out of his way to piss you or sion off, and when that happens he almost always ends up sobbing, begging you to stop.

when it comes to you, you truly are the biggest switch. however, one of the boys will always take your side whenever it’s time to deal with the other.

but when it’s about you being pleased they give their all. you could have sion rearranging your guts, while yushi holds you in his arms, whispering sweet praises against your skin, comforting you, and vice versa. your pleasure comes before theirs, and they are not willing to change that.

they definitely don’t play about aftercare. they will always make sure you truly are okay after having sex. no matter the circumstances you will always be sandwiched between them, as one of them apologizes for going too rough, kissing away all your soreness, while the other one just holds you close.

domestic moments:

mornings with yushi and sion are your favorite thing ever. whenever you have the chance you guys will sleep in, tangled up in each other’s limbs.

it’s almost always the same pattern: you in the middle, sion pulling you into his chest, and yushi wrapping his arms securely around you, making you the little spoon. every once in a while though it slightly changes: sion and you cuddling yushi, sion cuddling yushi while yushi cuddles you etc etc..

usually sion is the one who wakes up last. you and yushi always let him sleep in, cause you both bow how exhausted he is from work. though you can never resist placing small and soft kisses on eyelids and cheeks, and yushi caressing his bare skin, this often resulting in him waking up with the sleepiest smile on his lips as he pulls the both of you in for some cuddles.

nights with them are so sweet and calm. music always fills the living room, while you are occupied with your own little things. occasionally sion will try to get one of you to dance with him, leaving the other laughing at them.

at the end of the day, being in a throuple will always make some people raise their eyebrows, but you could not be happier with your two loving boyfriends.

Instead of a fic I’d love to hear you personal headcannons for Mac!

This was so fun! It might suck a little cause it's my first time writing head-cannons, so I ramble a little.

I’ve always been fascinated by human development and human nature, so even though it might sound a little silly, the idea of datables becoming human was soooo intriguing to me. What would that transformation feel like? How would it reshape the way they understand relationships, community, or even basic social structures when compared to being in the culture of the house?

I think that’s part of why I’m drawn to Mac in particular. They started as a literal computer, something rooted in pure logic, and then shifted into a human being, a creature wired for connection and belonging. That contrast feels so compelling to me; moving from a world of calculated processes into the unpredictability of emotions, intimacy, and social bonds that make us human. And yet, they were one of the most emotionally intellegent characters despite what their object is typically associated with (in my opinion).

But also....this is just a game and a fictional character, so I may be reading too much into it heheh

HEADCANNONS

Going from being a computer to being “human” was… rough. Mac misses having access to infinite information at all times. They used to be able to pull up an answer in 0.2 seconds, and now they’ll just sit there frustrated, like:  “I know I had that file in my cache. Why won’t my brain index it properly?”

It was a weird kind of grief at first, realizing they couldn’t just have answers to everything anymore. I feel like this would have caused an existential crisis for them because part of their whole self-worth was based on being good enough for you and being able to make your life easier just by knowing all the answers.

To fill that gap, I feel that Mac would turn to physical media. They read everything, encyclopedias, manuals, books about niche topics like lockpicking or 17th-century navigation techniques. They consume shows and movies that would be with be considered “classics” or “niche.” Their shelves are stacked with a mix of manga, computer science textbooks, and the occasional guilty-pleasure romance novel (They would never admit to enjoying it). 

Because of all the reading and leftover “data hunger,” Mac is the friend who knows just enough about any topic. Someone mentions car engines? They’ll give a five-minute spiel about combustion ratios. Someone mentions astrology? Suddenly, they’re pulling up your birth chart with eerily accurate details. 

Mac adores you. They remember the tiniest things: your favorite candy, the way you click your tongue when you’re thinking, the fact that you once mentioned loving a certain show as a kid. They’ll bring it up months later, and you’ll have forgotten you even said it.

Deep down, Mac worries you’ll “upgrade” from them one day. Even though they’re human now, the insecurity lingers. If you ever get a new laptop or mention tech being faster, they’ll joke about it, but part of them genuinely fears being left behind. Even after years of being human, they would probably still not feel human enough and worry that you’ll leave for someone who can “understand” you better. You’re their anchor, reminding them they’re not disposable.

So much of Mac’s adjustment to being human came from watching you. They didn’t get small talk, inside jokes, or why people smile at them randomly, but being with you made those things make sense. You became their guidebook for being alive, and they’ll never stop being grateful.

We’ve already established that they are TOUCHY, so physical affection is grounding for them. They melt when you absentmindedly play with their hair or rest your head on them. They’re the type to do the yawn and stretch to put their arm on your shoulder and pull you close.

For Mac, their love language it’s a mix of acts of service and information sharing. They’ll notice you struggling with something and quietly research the fix. If you mention being curious about a random topic, the next day, Mac will have a stack of books or articles ready for you.

Satoru Gojo: [Touch]

For a man with a schedule as hectic and overwhelming as his own, Satoru always, no matter what, made some extra time for you. He could be at the verge of collapse with his eyelids drooping shut, but he’d always—without fail—find a way to keep you involved.

For the better part, the bulk of his perverted little teasing texts were largely all talk—not because he enjoyed leaving you hanging—but due to being physically spent by the end of the day. When it could happen though? What a bonus that was—what an absolute treat.

He’d otherwise wrap his arms right around you, holding onto you so very tight; his lips pressing against the crook of your neck, refusing to part. Satoru would pull you close to him, reeling your back against his chest, caging you in however he could.

Sometimes, you’d fall asleep just like this, with you being his place of comfort. His safe space, but, should he have enough stamina for the day, then he’d make you both feel good.

Satoru, after all, if he could get his hands on you—all around you—would not be able to stop at just a simple touch. His affection would linger and seek to mingle with any sort of potential pleasure because you were just that perfect in his eyes.

But again, it wasn’t the only thing.

Above the heat that he felt for you, he was also just content with the warmth you provided, whatever form that took place in.

Choso Kamo: [Quality Time]

Choso, who was still very new to embracing humanity, was even more inexperienced when it came to the concept of romantic relationships. All he had ever known before was a platonic and protective sort of love, which by the way—did carry onto you for the most part—but then he started to love you differently.

For a while, any sort of physical touch, however, was overwhelming for him and he proposed the compromise of taking it slowly with you out of a deep-rooted fear of accidentally hurting you. You’d instead sit with each other in the same space, just quietly attending to your own things, getting used to each other’s company.

After a while, too, he began to get more comfortable with you and he’d hold onto your hand tighter, or the hugs he gave would linger. Despite this, he never once rushed you, letting anything physical beyond that reach fall into place naturally.

Organically.

In short, he simply just loved you by being with you.

It was all he ever wanted and craved.

Kento Nanami: Communication

Kento was a surprisingly nervous man outside of his cool work demeanour. You and him were both sorcerers who both worked in a dangerous profession, so he developed an anxious habit of fussing and worrying about you over the years.

As such, Kento developed an almost compulsive need with needing to know what you were doing, no matter how mundane. At first, he thought that he was overbearing, but to his surprise and comfort, you informed him that you didn’t even mind! What joy! Ever since then, he was an always lurking, constant presence in your life.

Every morning, if you had different missions, he’d ask you for a good morning selfie, or if you were making breakfast, he wanted the partial process and the end result. Even when you were doing your skincare or just reading a book, he always wanted to know what it was that his perfect wife was up to.

Beyond that, he loved listening to you talk.

Should you share the bed on a rare night together, then he could spend hours listening to you ramble away.

He’d be disappointed when you stopped, of course, but then he’d get to hold you throughout the night when you were all talked out.

And safe in his arms.

Shoko Ieiri: Acts of Service

Admittedly, Shoko became a sorcerer for monetary reasons. There was nothing quite like the salary of a sorcerer and she was in extreme demand with her reverse cursed technique. Throughout the years however, even despite her pricy habits, she never really had a chance to spoil herself.

So, when you came along, it was the first thing that she did. Right away, she knew that she wanted to spoil the hell out of you.

This wouldn’t be just limited to just money, though, oh no, no. She would massage you, daily, after missions and cook you dinner if she had the energy. She’d spend ages just holding you, running lazy circles along your skin (and at times, between your thighs and even further than that).

What came to her as the biggest surprise, however, was when you started matching her in that same way. Suddenly, she was the spoiled one with flowers showing up in the med bay for her, or her lunch being packed or paid for. She’d often find a hot bath waiting for her when she got home or sometimes you’d treat her to a spa night, taking care of her skincare for when she was too tired to do so.

It was little things like that that helped her feel so important and of course, she knew you felt the same way.

The two of you were in fact, perfect for each other from the very start.

“Digital crowdsourcing in the times of crisis”

Crowdsourcing refers to the practice of obtaining ideas, services, data, or resources from a large, often online group of people during emergencies or disruptive events such as natural disasters, pandemics, wars, or economic collapses. Highlight. This includes all crises out there, not just the contemporary digital hardships. The topic of crowdsourcing validates the significance of the digital community, and why it has the power to change, to rule the world. BIG LINES. But it’s true. We’ll go about this by breaking down into different cases of digital crowdsourcing and what had already happened in the past, and the changes they have already landed in the past years. 

The Covid-19 pandemic

Lockdown. Vaccines. Sorrows. Deaths. Covid is a season of great sorrows. When the economy and general mobility are being severely handicapped, the people switch to the online platform for ideas and actions for urgent research and discoveries

In early 2020, a global shortage of mechanical ventilators threatened to overwhelm healthcare systems as COVID-19 led to severe respiratory failure. Over 3,000 engineers, medical professionals, and hobbyists from 20+ countries collaborated in real-time on a single open-source ventilator design. Design files were version-controlled on GitHub; circuit board designs were co-edited live on Altium 365.

This is done by a complete geographic decentralization – no physical meeting was ever held. The final design could be downloaded and manufactured anywhere in the world with a 3D printer and basic electronics.

In specific regions in Africa, the pandemic was accompanied by an Infodemic, a spread of disinformation, making it difficult for people to find accurate information. To tackle the issue, UNESCO in partnership with Innovation for Policy Foundation (i4Policy) launched an online campaign to crowdsource local openly licensed content to inform communities across Africa about Covid-19.

“This crisis tells us the importance of the flow of quality, reliable information at a time when misinformation and rumors are flourishing,” said UNESCO Director General Audrey Azoulay.

Translators for Ukraine (2022-Present)

In the face of war, social media platforms such as Telegram and Whatsapp are being used as decentralised network with volunteer translators receiving important screenshots of Ukrainian documents - medical records, legal forms, evacuation orders, returned and translated within minutes. A simple Telegram bot distributed tasks to available volunteers based on language pairs (e.g., Ukrainian -> Polish).

At peak, the network claimed over 5000 active volunteers and processed over 1 million translation requests in the first six months of the war. 

2010 Haiti Earthquake: Ushahidi and the 4636 SMS Short Code

On January 12, 2010 a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck near Port-au-Prince, Haiti, causing over 100,000 deaths and overwhelming traditional communication and aid infrastructure. Within hours of the earthquake, the Ushaidi platform - originally a platform developed to map violence in Kenya - launched the Ushaihidi-Haiti Project. The innovation was a partnership with the mobile network Digicel to establish SMS short code 4636, allowing anyone in Haiti to text reports of urgent needs for free. 

Estimated 10,000 Haitians volunteered to translate messages, processing thousands of reports. 

The US Marine Corps and US Coast Guard actively used the live map. One Marine Corps report specifically credited the map with enabling a rescue mission that evacuated two elderly women and a young girl with critical injuries from outside Grand Goave, stating, "Your site saved these people's lives... There are 100s of these kinds of stories..."

Ushahidi is an open source software application which utilises user-generated reports to collate and map data.

Digital crowdsourcing is a great example in contributing to a healthy digital citizenship. It is also a pivotal tool for organizations and institutions that helps facilitate the decentralization of knowledge production and task execution and by doing so, leverages dispersed expertise, creativity and labour across global networks. It can be applied in various manners including crowdfunding, crowd analysis, crowd data collection and so on, in different fields and circumstances. Hansen (2012) affirms that aimed at solving wicked problems, public managers seek innovative approaches and crowdsourcing can be a likely solution for municipal issues. 

Addressing the need of volunteers in crowdsourcing

Democratic viewpoints suggest citizen engagement with technology use for improving deliberation and decision making (Macintosh, 2004). Other e-participation frameworks include alternatives for more collaborative strategies, which enable citizens to become partners and co-creators and co-producers of services (Nam, 2016). 

One of the most efficient ways to take part in crowdsourcing for an ongoing crisis is to participate in crisis mapping and open-source data collection. Global humanitarian organizations use these platforms to turn satellite imagery and local reports into actionable maps and intelligence for on-the-ground disaster relief. 

Crowdsourcing is an indispensable need in the time of crises, and digital crowdsourcing offers more channels for greater accessibility and enhanced efficiency of the crowdsourcing process, making it easier in resolving crises.

What is ‘AI’?

Claude, Gemini, Copilot, ChatGPT, Deepmind. All versions of the same concept: an algorithm that can respond to input phrased in natural language based on a so-called Large Language Model (LLM). This system works similarly to autocomplete and autocorrect features, albeit much more advanced.

I’m using the phrases ‘AI’ and ‘LLM’ interchangably because right now, there is no alternative version of AI. I’m treating all of these LLM’s as the same for the purposes of this discussion because their differences do not change my criticisms. 

What problems will AI cause for the environment?

Both the generation of electricity and the building and cooling of datacenters require water. This water is largely consumed before you prompt your LLM, and not all of it needs to be potable. And of course, water vapor is not destroyed. Carbon emissions also take place at several points in the process. So giving useful context to the exact resource consumption of AI is complicated. Companies like OpenAI do not help matters by witholding and downplaying the cost.

According to one estimate, the water cost of AI worldwide is similar to that of that of the global bottled water industry, and the power requirements are equivalent to that of New York City. These do not take into account the massive investments to expand in the coming years. It is fair to say that efforts to limit global warming are mostly offset by the growth of LLM’s, if not reversed by them.    

What problems will AI cause for the economy?

LLM’s are marketed as a way to cut labor costs. Several kinds of intellectual labor can effectively be replaced by AI, according to some industry leaders. At the very least, it’s cited as a reason for layoffs in tech companies all over the world.

In creative fields, image generation models and similar features have worried actors, visual artists and writers, whose work has been used to train AI models to replace them, without financial compensation.

While it remains to be seen if these workers can actually be replaced by AI in the long term, it is putting pressure on their employment.  

However, the companies that provide LLM services have not made their business profitable either. Currently, the business is sustained by loans and investments in hopes of a future return on investment, to the tune of over a trillion dollars in 2028.

Industry leaders are already acknowledging an investment bubble on par with the .com crash. There are signs already that there is not enough training data to continue improving LLM’s. Because it is actively undercutting the professionals that created its original training data, this is getting worse the more AI is used. AI content will be used as training data, and create a kind of feedback loop.  

What problems will AI cause for society?

Since LLM’s are literally designed to accept user’s corrections and preferences, they effectively tell users what they want to hear. For socially isolated or vulnerable people, this can override their critical thought. It is very enticing to believe a machine that can immediately justify and support any suggestion you offer it, and this causes mania in some people. AI has already convinced people to stop taking their medication or cut off their therapists.  

AI doesn’t understand why it makes mistakes, and those who rely on it professionally will become worse and worse at their job. Since AI does not correct itself, and relying on it doesn’t require any skill either, frequent users will also become worse at correcting it. This skill loss is well documented.

AI-developers require infinite amounts of data of every kind, and they are not keen on paying for it. Datamining and user-generated content are taken without compensation, but it is not enough. All of these companies have made deals with government entities that intend to use AI to supercharge their surveillance. Already, AI is being used to determine military targets and profile likely suspects, with no oversight. When these systems target innocents, how can they be corrected, or held accountable?

What problems does AI solve?

It becomes important to ask, what problem does AI actually solve? Here’s my itemized list:

-It helps you write professional e-mails.

-It makes pictures on demand, by making a statistical approximation of the image your prompt describes.

-When you ask it to cite a source, it will produce someting that looks like a source, statistically speaking.

-It will observe human labor, and copy and remix that labor in complex ways. This makes human labor seem less necessary. Which is useful, because you won’t pay the human labor that made itpossible.

-Makes populations easier to control: more expendable, more unskilled, less critical, more easy to surveil.

Thes are not problems that need solving. This is not worth an economic crisis, an authoritarian takeover, or worsening global warming.

A new study by researchers at Zhejiang University has highlighted the disproportionate health challenges faced by sexual and gender-diverse (SGD) individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic. By analyzing over 471 million tweets using advanced natural language processing (NLP) techniques, the study reveals that SGD individuals were more likely to discuss concerns related to social connections, mask-wearing, and experienced higher rates of COVID-19 symptoms and mental health issues than non-SGD individuals. The study has been published in the journal Health Data Science.

The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed and intensified health disparities, particularly for vulnerable populations like the sexual and gender-diverse (SGD) community. Unlike traditional health data sources, social media provides a more dynamic and real-time reflection of public concerns and experiences. Zhiyun Zhang, a Ph.D. student at Zhejiang University, and Jie Yang, Assistant Professor at the same institution, led a study that analyzed large-scale Twitter data to understand the unique challenges faced by SGD individuals during the pandemic.

To address this, the research team used NLP methods such as Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) models for topic modeling and advanced sentiment analysis to evaluate the discussions and concerns of SGD Twitter users compared to non-SGD users. This approach allowed the researchers to explore three primary questions: the predominant topics discussed by SGD users, their concerns about COVID-19 precautions, and the severity of their symptoms and mental health challenges.

The findings reveal significant differences between the two groups. SGD users were more frequently involved in discussions about "friends and family" (20.5% vs. 13.1%) and "wearing masks" (10.1% vs. 8.3%). They also expressed higher levels of positive sentiment toward vaccines such as Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson. The study found that SGD individuals reported significantly higher frequencies of both physical and mental health symptoms compared to non-SGD users, underscoring their heightened vulnerability during the pandemic.

"Our large-scale social media analysis highlights the concerns and health challenges of SGD users. The topic analysis showed that SGD users were more frequently involved in discussions about 'friends and family' and 'wearing masks' than non-SGD users. SGD users also expressed a higher level of positive sentiment in tweets about vaccines," said Zhiyun Zhang, the lead researcher. "These insights emphasize the importance of targeted public health interventions for SGD communities."

The study demonstrates the potential of using social media data to monitor and understand public health concerns, especially for marginalized communities like SGD individuals. The results suggest the need for more tailored public health strategies to address the unique challenges faced by SGD communities during pandemics.

Moving forward, the research team aims to develop an automated pipeline to continuously monitor the health of targeted populations, offering data-driven insights to support more comprehensive public health services.
