SO MOTHERFUCKING EXCITED
Dough Girl
Sunday morning I managed to sleep in until 10:30! My body was so excited for it's first Sunday off in ages.
My dad made his famous easy doughnuts for us to snack on while waking up and waiting for breakfast. I had one whole one and 2 doughnut holes.
Breakfast was a build your own omelette bar, but mine turned into a scramble. I mixed in broccoli, tomatoes, bacon and cheddar cheese. Served with homemade hashbrowns (which were more like potato chips. yum!), and pineapple.
I had a couple of errands to run, so I picked up a coffee before stopping at Target.
The rest of the afternoon was spent lounging around with my parents and boyfriend, watching TV and just hanging out. I had a quick turkey sandwich with mayo and olive oil spread for lunch, with broccoli salad on the side.
And had about 1/4 of the savannah bar I picked up at Great Harvest.
We packed up the car and said good bye to my parents, then headed over to my sister's house to say bye to them. My sister had whipped up some of Mama Pea's apple cider doughnuts to share. Doughnuts twice in one day... ok!
I got in some last minute quality time with my nieces.
Love these little faces!
Then we were back on the road! The boyfriend drove the whole way home and got us there in under 4 hours! He is a rockstar. We stopped for a quick dinner at taco bell and I had a taco + quesadilla. I really need to go back to not eating fast food!
It was so good to hang out with my family for the weekend. I hadn't been home since July, so I was well overdue for a trip!
