this user is nonverbal
this is a post about being nonverbal/ semi-verbal.
I am often non/semiverbal and that's okay. I do not like to talk. I feel guilty when I talk. I do not like to speak. I feel guilty when I speak. I hate the way I sound. I hate that I talk too much. I feel like I talk too much. I get hyperverbal and I feel bad.
I am selectively mute and I go nonverbal or semiverbal. I can communicate through nonverbal communication and that's okay. I prefer nonverbal communication. I prefer to text than speak with my mouth parts. I prefer to use my AACs.
We are not in a safe place right now where we can be ourselves sadly. So I have to be verbal sometimes and if I can't be I switch out with someone else who is verbal. I've been spending a lot of time not fronting because I've been feeling not well and that's okay the others told me that's okay.
Don't feel guilty if you become semi or nonverbal. Don't feel guilty if you are selectively mute. Don't feel guilty if you don't like to talk or feel guilty for talking. You are valid.
I can also talk a lot lot, and be hyperverbal. Sometimes I talk very little or not at all. And that's ok.
