I never gave it a proper name, but the idea was Elros teaching Vardamir about their family history, specifically about Eärendil.

I just wanna remind y'all real quick that it is only the post-War of Wrath half elves who got to choose mortality/immortality. The only (known) half elves at this time were Earendil, who became a star and possibly a Maia immediately after, Elwing, who would rather abandon her children to die than die herself, and Elrond and Elros.

There was no precedent for the choice. Of course they didn't have time to think it through and consult one another, Elwing and Earendil were completely separate from their children, who were separate from one another.

This also means that no other Half Elf would get the choice. Dior, Elured, Elurin and the potential children of Haleth and Caranthir (you can't tell me they weren't a thing) all did not choose. The grandchildren of Elros did not choose. No one but those four, and later Arwen, Elladan and Elrohir, Vardamir, Nolimon, Manwendil, Atanalcar and Tindomiel got the choice, and we don't even know if the last five actually did or were simply counted as mortal because of their father.

i thought it was funny if i gave noli some hair because the implication that he’d lock in and wear a wig for only his wedding and no other special occasion is really funny. that or that he has hair, but he’s been wearing a bald cap the entire time.

the aliens toss flower petals down the aisle except they don’t because alien chance is a menace when it comes to consuming anything remotely “edible” (<- has eaten shoelaces before)

fun fact about the veil on the void crown that noli has, it was originally tela’s, but noli liked it a lot so tela let him have it. in return, noli gave some rose and star clips to put in tela’s hair.

i didn’t finish this doodle because i couldn’t bring myself to do lineart for some reason 😭,,, maybe one day

doodle above was the wedding outfits planning i did months ago but i didn’t like how i drew them, so i never posted it out of dissatisfaction. for the doodles now, i also did some minor tweaks on both their designs, but the only major change i made was that i gave Noli his cloak again. and uh. he has??? hair now??????????? ??
