genuinely going insane about how "we're scholars, not soldiers" (Babel, RF Kuang) fits in with Arcane. something something Jinx and Ekko are both brilliant prodigies born in an environment that forced them to be fighters something something Jayce and Viktor, for all their involvement in the conflict, were still inventors at heart something something
the most tragic character archetype you can be is like. someone whos way too trusting
sometimes i find myself comparing takatora to racles (older brothers who have to stain their hands to save their people from what is essentially an unbeatable eldritch horror), but theyre SO different as people. racles knew from the start his mission meant solitude, and no one would ever be on his side nor understand him. on the contrary, takatora seeked companions. he wanted people by his side while he worked at this impossible goal, and as a result he placed way too much trust in those he considered comrades. unearned trust
it saddens me everytime we pan to a scene and its takatora talking to ryoma and sid and minato and mitsuzane, going on and on about how he finally has hope for the future, or just about the plan in general. and you can tell hes so comfortable around them, because he trusts them to be people sharing his same goal, and that even though they may have occasional disagreement, or not always get along, theyre still a team. but then you look at those people and you see that they just. really want him dead
its something so unimaginably tragic imo. the fact that his relationship with ryoma had fallen apart so long ago without him ever knowing. the fact he still loves and tries to protect mitsuzane at every turn, the very same little brother who stood by as he got assassinated
idk how all this experience is gonna change him. is he gonna find it harder to place such trust in other people again. or is he still going to hold onto that hope-like trust. i think takatora isnt mentally well at all, that much we see from. well. look at him. id just like to see him be weak a little. let himself be affected more, instead of always acting like the dependable, composed kureshima that we see all the time. let takatora be hurt please ☹️

hot take: if you're not developed enough to know that there's a difference between having a crush on an unrealistic-looking cartoon character that's younger than you and being an actual pedophile, you shouldn't be on the internet
hi hello heres some proship whisper thingamathings.enjoy
[censorship is bc they were made for another website]
antishipping is so weirddd cuz its like. a bunch of 12 yr olds trying to police what adults are allowed to do in adult spaces. like. who let you in?? why are you complaining abt stuff that's "inappropriate for kids" in a space that is explicitly Not for kids??
something i noticed in the first episode of death note is how light seemed genuinely disappointed when ryuk said there was no penalty for using the notebook? it almost reads like he *wants* to be punished; like perhaps he took to writing down as many names as he could, whilst still believing that using a death note would result in severe penalty, specifically to procure the worst possible punishment.
i could see him doing this as a way of subconsciously dissuading himself from going down a darker path (or spiral, more like) – his mind recognizes that a lot of his current thoughts and feelings (ex. 'this world is rotten') seem to be tugging him in that direction, and wants to reinforce a belief in conventional morality and the world as a righteous system of crime and punishment by purposefully deviating from conventional morality and then encountering a punishment for doing so. if he does get punished (which he assumes he will), then all is good because he has been reassured that evil actions are usually then followed up by, essentially, karma.
