(public answer is fine!) i remember reading a fic where Kix contemplates sabotaging Anakin's healing in a bacta tank, and it was so interesting, and i wanna know if your clone ocs had any complicated views on any of the Jedi Generals (doesn't have to be the ones they served under)??
i know Hound isn't my oc but I like making him mildly dislike & avoid Anakin and Mace for his three kamino squadmates (that are actually ocs that i still need to flesh out LOL) that died due to an error on their part, but also feeling ashamed because he knows they also feel extreme guilt over it. He doesn't like how bad these emotions make him feel, so he just avoids thinking about this all together, and gets annoyed when the two are brought up. And I like making Mockingbird generally uneasy and conflicted about Jedi Generals because they hate that the Generals lead troopers into battles that horribly injure/kill untold amounts, but it's more about them feeling useless/"too late" than it is disliking Jedi doing the jobs they were assigned.
Whoagh, that Kix fic sounds so good. I love you Clone Medic Kix, you can do no wrong in my eyes. And I'm like so highly obsessed with how you depict Hound, putting that guy in situations all the time and I am always all ears whenever you got new Hound developments in the works. And Mockingbird my beloved 😭
Yes actually! Quips admittedly hates General Skywalker and finds him an improper superior. He admits Anakin has natural leadership abilities as well as an uncanny battle prowess; but he believes that too many 501st brothers are put into needless danger or die for the sake of Anakin receiving some sense of glory or for the sake of his own pride. He worries often with several of his friends being part of the 501st - eg: Kix and Coric - but also Stutter and TenFour his brothers, that they'll die on some needlessly reckless fool hearted mission. He thinks Anakin gets good vod killed because he's had a bad day and needs to blow off steam in some stupid stunt, "you can jot that down," "actually I won't Quips because that'd get you a Court martial." "Well if he throws Stutter or TenFour off a bridge like he does Rex, I'll be court martialed anyways cause I'll shoot him myself." "Keep your voice down you di'kut, are you crazy?!"
Aside from Quips, Hyena is a known hater and defected from Krell's former unit, and Jackal defected from the 91st Recon and both are now proficient and popular illegal cage fighters in the deeper levels of Coruscant lol. Hyena hated Krell for more than obvious reasons, and Jackal thinks Neyo was a fucking dickhead and hated being part of the 91st even more after Ponds got removed from his Commander position (vague phrasing coz idk if I want Ponds to survive in this verse). Daven, Whistle, Heckle and Ziggy didn't get along great with their former 224th General, Jedi General Laan Tik (canon), but after he died and chain of command passed to Jedi General Wyren Stoll and Padawan Yeong-Ja Ko (OCs) their feathers are less ruffled. I think they didn't like General Tik cause the General got a little to haughty and self assured about his abilities and it sometimes put the Battalion in needlessly dangerous situations due to him underestimating the enemy.
