OK BUT LIKE HEAR ME OUT!! i finished watching the SU movie and i got...an idea because of spinel

hear me out hear me out. she really does remind me of bass, especially with the way i tend to hc him at points. so

AU , based offa spinel, where more or less around the era prior to the full transition to classic to x period, most of the other RM’s and any other bot outside of that term become obsolete or just out right terminated, right? 

except for bass, somehow. i kinda wanna play off the one theory that mega city or whatever got just absolutely trashed by wily, and thats why for like.........so long no one found x. 

however , just shove bass into the mix. dr cain finds x, sigma finds out about zero and all that shabang except for bass. not him, somehow. like.....IM SPIT BALLING but maybe like in a weird ass underground bunker in the middle of practically no where , somewhere in the world. and he’s still offline for like, many many years even well into the x series.

but one day, for whatever reason, he wakes up. all scuffed up, rusty and old but somehow he’s alive. and for that reason, he makes his way out of the isolated , yet secure area that his creator put him in.

the middle of no where. for awhile, there was nothing. for awhile, he knew nothing. the last few moments prior to his long slumber, so recent in his mind yet so, so hazy. everything felt like static.

but eventually, he makes contact with the outside world. enough to know that..........megaman is still around. and that the era he was built in, was long, looong gone. 

it may be his successor in this era, but it’s still him. its still megaman all the same.

and he has some .......unfinished business with the blue bomber.

and through out this, he eventually stumbled around and found his way over to x and his little team.

idk i’d assume he’d be really fucked up by being dormant and thus inactive for so long, so i’d imagine he’d figure out how to repair himself or something. he may be mostly brawns but i cant imagine the guy hasn’t figured out a few tricks by now.

but REGARDLESS. he assumes x knows about him but He Really Don’t Know him like that???? like who is this guy!!!!!! why does he want me dead like LITERALLY EVERY OTHER ANTAGONIST IN THE SERIES. 

and then just rlly, i want yall to just picture bass as spinel through out the “other friends” song

also id imagine that like, bass wouldnt entirely figure out who zero was right away.  he probably finds out and just becomes Absolutely Livid
