Omegas are at the bottom of the societal hierarchy. Natural followers, and naturally submissive they are seen as the most useful of the dynamics. Though, they are often disrespected especially by male alphas.
Female Omegas, like real world anatomy, have female genitalia and female reproductive organs. (Unlike male omegas who would have male genitals but female reproductive organs, giving birth via the ass, but that’s enough about that.)
Female Omegas are also more desired than male Omegas. This is mainly due to the birthing process being easier, though female omegas have a lot of other things that makes them more desired. There more submissive, easier to ate with, ten times more fertile and generally have sweeter more attractive scents. They are also more maternal and supportive toward pups and young pack members. Though, even then they are still the most disrespected by rude alphas.
Omega Phases -
Young Omegas are omegas aged 18 to 22. They have very little control on their emotions or body, easily overwhelmed or upset by alphas. They can be scented way to easily, even an accidental brush of the wrist. They are also incredibly fertile, even a few drops of pre-cum can get them pregnant with a pup. Their scents are the sweetest and most enticing. They are the easiest to bond with too, a few seconds close to each other or even a few kisses can leave a long-lasting bonding affect. Due to this they typically have larger packs.
Mature Omegas are omegas aged 23 to 29. They have more control over their bodies and their emotions. It’s less easy to accidently scent them as the scent glands need to be stimulated for at least a minute or two. They are still very fertile but its less likely that they get pregnant from just pre-cum unless the alpha is particularly fertile. There scents are still quite sweet but not nearly as high, though they are still completely irresistible to alphas on the younger side (24-25 and below). Still relatively easy to bond with though they are pickier with who they choose for their mates and packs. Due to this they have smaller packs and stronger bonds with pack members.
Older Omegas are omegas aged 30 and above. They are the most nurturing of all the phases and typically take on the role of second in command alongside the packs head alpha. Their scents are more muted unless they throw their scent out to calm down angry alphas and break up fights. An example of how great their control on their body is. They get less fertile as they age and have smaller heats, until they reach the age heats stop.
Omega Sounds -
Alphas make a range of sounds such as; Purring, Cooing, Growling, Mate call and Pup call. all of which have a specific meaning and reaction from people.
Purring is a sort of soft sound that comes from the omega’s chest, this happens when the omega is in a state of complete relaxation, contentment, and happiness. it’s also soothing sound that can be used for pups or mates.
Cooing is a sort of playful noise that an omega will make when amused, or when they are smug about something.
Growling is quite self-explanatory. It’s a growl that Omegas do, however there is the warning growl and the playful growl. The warning growl is when they are warning someone that they are close to crossing the line and making the Omega uncomfortable. It’s often accompanied by a bitter scent to let the person know there uncomfortable and they need to back off. The playful growl is more of a joke, it’s a light soft growl that stops short halfway and they release a scent to let everyone know it’s a joke. Its typically used in rough housing and play fighting with mates, alphas, other omegas, or pups.
Mate Call is a sort of yip noise that the omega will make to call their mate. They can use it when they want to draw attention to danger, when they want or need their mate’s attention or when their mate is doing something, and they need to stop.
Pup Call is like the mate call but it’s a higher pitched yip. It’s a sort of yip noise that parents make to call their Pup. They use it to tell a pup to come back over if they have wandered to far, to warn a pup against danger or let a pup know they are doing something they shouldn’t before a growl needs to be used.
Types of Wetness -
Much like alphas having different types of boners, omegas have a similar thing. There are two types of wetness an omega can get. Horny wetness, the regular kind of wetness that happens when the omega gets aroused and then there is Happy wetness.
Happy wetness happens when an omega gets so Happy there is an increase and rush of happy pheromones shocking their system, it confuses the feeling for when there is a rush of arousal pheromones and causes the omega to get wet. They can be dripping wet during this time, but their scent gives away they’re not horny just incredibly happy. Though this can be turned into horny wetness and initiate mating if an alpha reacts a certain way. An omega can also get happy wet as a reaction to a pack alpha or their mate getting a happy boner or Happy wet (for omega x omega relationships).
Heats -
Heats are something that happens to Omegas once every 2-3 months, the first day of the heat there is a little blood. A heat is painful for the omega throughout the duration. During this time, their body is perfectly tuned for breeding. There the most fertile and are constantly wet, uncomfortable so as slick literally drips from them. This is all so that they can reproduce and have pups. The Omega’s mind is hazy and taken over with an intense need to mate and breed, the human side of them fading to the omega’s desire. Mated Omegas will have a heat that syncs with their Alpha’s heat. Unmated Omegas tend to lock themselves away until their heat has passed, for their own safety. The younger the Omega the longer their heat goes, this is because it takes them longer to get control back. Heats can stop early if the omega gets pregnant.
Omega Teeth -
An omega’s teeth are pointier than the teeth of humans but a lot less sharp than an alpha. This means it’s harder for them to bite down into someone skin. This makes marking other omegas or alphas harder and fighting harder. It also means it’s harder for them to release the venom they have.
Venom –
Omegas have two types of venom; Mate Venom and Tactical Venom. These types of venom are vastly different. The reasonings for this are listed below.
Mate venom is released when an omega places a mate mark onto their mate. The venom is released with small levels of the omega’s DNA, the purpose of this is for Alphas, as it makes their body more receptive to the Omega. This is Ideal for packs as the Omega who marked the Alpha can easily calm and relax an agitated alpha if they have marked them, easily stopping fights.
Some Omegas will still mate mark an Omega though when venom is released, it does nothing as major. It simply makes the Omega’s body aware there mates and allows them to relax fully around them. It even allows that omega to help during heats.
Tactical venom is released when an Omega is fighting off an alpha and manages to bite them. The effect this venom has is to shock the recipient alphas system. The venom is not nearly as strong as an alpha’s, this means they have to be biting down for a LONG time in order to daze the alpha. In no way is the venom strong enough to sicken or kill an alpha. Instead, Omegas are typically faster runners, so once the alpha is dazed the omega should RUN.
Omega Voice -
Omega voice is a type of commanding, authoritative voice used by Omegas. It is most effective on Mated Alphas, Pups and Other Omegas. They will use this voice when commanding someone to do something. Often older omegas since they are secondary pack leaders, though any Omega has the ability to use the voice. Sometimes, particularly with Young Omegas, the voice can be used by accident when the omega loses their temper or is overwhelmed and uncomfortable. The voice is for commands, and when someone is commanded by a successful use of the omega voice, they have no choice but to obey. It is looked down upon to misuse this voice, especially when the voice is used to command a non-mate or non-pack omega around. Or abusing it on pups.
Omega Nests –
All Omegas nest. It is one of the most common and known traits of omegas. Nesting for omegas is a comfort thing, often during stressful times and pregnancy they will completely tear apart their nest and reorganise it again and again until its “perfect.” Their nests are made of soft fabrics and items such as pillows, bedding, plushies and scented pack and mate clothing.
Omega nests are seen as sacred. Alphas should never enter an omega’s nest without explicit permission. Even if they are mated or pack-mates. Even other Omega’s should realistically ask the omega before entering their nest though often, especially pack-mate omega’s, nest can be shared between omegas. In which case permission isn’t needed.
The only ones that don’t need to ask for permission are pups, especially if it’s that omega’s pup. Pack pups, however, often also have freedom to enter the nest whenever. When pups age up into either young alphas or young omegas then they have to ask as their scents will mess everything up, though most omega parents don’t care.
Pups typically go to an omega parents’ nest over an alpha parent’s den as the nest is a much more comforting place in terms of scent. Plus, dens are typically a mating place whereas nests are a comforting place.
Omega Space -
Omega space is when an Omega’s human side is completely shut off and their Omega is the only one aware of what’s going on. It’s a type of sub-space in a way. The omega is just so deep in into the space they can hardly move or function and need their alpha or a pack alpha to hold them close, scent them and reassure them that their okay and that their safe. They just need to be looked after and protected.
making a den because my heat is coming soon .. i can sense it ….
i love making my den with all of my favorite plushies set up n my scent on everything .. it ‘ s like keeping my pups safe anndd warm .. overall it is just very euphoric .. awuff
The Entire Greek Alphabet as Omega-verse Dynamics (AZLXTO-verse)
At 2am, I though 3 dynamics + male female secondary is stupid when there is an entire Greek alphabet to use instead.
Thank you ‘It’s 2am! I need to sleep! Stop thinking!’ thoughts.
Alpha α Dynamic (Alpha Males)
Alpha - regular ruts and triggered by heats
Beta - regular rut
Gamma - only triggered
Delta - no rut
Epsilon – prepubescent
Zeta ζ Dynamic (Alpha Females)
Zeta - regular ruts and triggered by heats
Eta - regular rut
Theta - only triggered
Iota - no rut
Kappa – prepubescent
Lambda λ and Xi ξ Dynamic (Betas)
Lambda – Male
Mu – prepubescent male
Nu – prepubescent female
Xi – Female
Tau τ Dynamic (Omega Females)
Omnicron – prepubescent
Pi - no heat
Rho - trigger heats
Sigma - regular heats
Tau - regular heats and triggered
Omega ω Dynamic (Omega Males)
Upsilon – prepubescent
Phi - no heat
Chi - only triggered heats
Psi - regular heats
Omega- regular heats and triggered
Most of this is just for medical use in my Omega-verse.
No one uses medical dynamic names in daily use. They stick more to using a main Dynamic names (α, ζ, λ, ξ, τ, ω).
It is not uncommon for a ζZeta to go by αAlpha or vice versa. Same goes for τTau and ωOmega
It is far less common for someone to claim to be a τTau or ωOmega when they are a ζ Zeta or αAlpha / vice versa, or a λLambda / ξXi to claim to be anything else.
`
when I use the Greek letters (α, ζ, λ, ξ, τ, ω) , it is means the daily use names, not medical use.
I read somewhere that Omegas are often seen as rare. Is this true? If so, why?
Hey Hi Hello!
Asks are closed!
Depends on your AU. Some AUs like to have it where the Omega dynamic is rare and thus more desirable. They are seen as desirable (more seen in the Male omega) since they are able to reproduce, and have a higher chance of either Omega or Alpha.
But it is your AU you don’t have it where Omegas are the rare dynamic. It’s just a common theme from what I’ve seen.
