I love how Hookfang is great for prancing but not for hunting from the sky because he would be very bad at diving like this:

Like, where would he tuck his wings? They are huge and leathery and don't fit neatly to the sides of his body, they'd flutter too much. He's not very aerodynamic with those spikes on his back either, plus the length of his tail would pose a hindrance to speed. Toothless' design works better for an aerial death dive.

However, on the ground, he's ghastly, as we've seen in the kill ring.

I don’t think I'll be able to finish anything fully for Jiro's birthday tomorrow (which, fun fact, he shares his birthday with Furina from Genshin Impact!)
