Happy endings bring children happiness  - a simple life lesson

If I had my way back then, 

A happy ending would happen time and again. 

That way I never forgot

In case I became suddenly distraught. 

Maybe then I could revisit the happy ending I once sought, 

Rekindling a certain happiness I was never taught.
