In retrospect, I actually understand Saruman. If I had a group project to get done and one guy was high on weed, another guy was high on shrooms, and the final two guys went backpacking in the east to find themselves or some shit I'd turn evil too
Ahh, that explains it...
Best Tolkien What If Scenarios?
What if Thorin lived?
What if Gandalf took the Ring and became Gandalf The Black?
What if Saruman stayed good?
What if Boromir lived?
What If Galadriel Took The Ring For Herself?
What If Faramir Joined The Fellowship Instead Of Boromir?
What if Saruon took the Ring back?
What If Frodo, Sam, & Gollum Went Through The Black Gate?
What If Gandalf Learned Earlier That Bilbo Had The Ring?
What if Elrond sent Glorfindel and Gildor instead of Merry and Pippin?
What if Frodo died to Shelob's poison and Sam took the ring to Mount Doom?
What if Radagast and the Blue Wizards aided Gandalf during the War of the Ring?
For some reason, I had in my head that Lalwen canonically disappeared into the East (which is not in fact.the case...oops) so my headcanon has been that Lalwen's been hanging out with the blue wizards this whole time.
I made simple sketches of Ainu for a larger art I have in mind, so I didn't have to worry about their appearance in the moment, and I decided to share them with you💥
The Blue Wizards
Only two came forward; Curumo and Alatar... and Alatar took Pallando as a friend
J.R.R Tolkien
Alatar really is the embodiment of that one friend who thinks going on a field trip in the middle of nowhere where you have never been before is a good idea.
It will be fun he said.
