I think pattern writers should consider not using the PEMDAS (from maths, parenthesis first then equasions then multiplication etc etc) method because it is sooo confusing
Here is a section of raglan decreases as written in this (UK English) book I'm trying to follow:
Working all raglan decreases as set by last row, dec 1 st at each end of 6th (4th: 2nd) and 2 (0: 2) foll 6th (0: alt) rows, then on 9 (13: 12) foll 4th rows.
*phew* ok wtf does that actually mean in physical terms of how many rows I should knit before the RS decreases??
Now here is what I had to write down in order to figure that out based on the size I'm making (large, the third listed number in parenthesis):
Work two rows, decrease on the next RS row
[Decrease on every RS row] five times
[Work 3 rows, decrease on the next RS row] twelve times
I don't know about you, but one of those is much easier to understand than the other
