Thinking about whumpees forced to be weapons. Whumper experiments on Whumpee until they're lethal. Whumper makes sure they have complete control over when Whumpee turns or berserks. Whumper dangles the device/magic/item that controls it, dangles freedom if Whumpee indulges in the violence until Whumpee is unrecognizable to caretaker.

Does Caretaker still believe in Whumpee? Is Whumpee still themself deep down? Has Whumper won?

Thinking about older Sanji missing his ring finger. It was cut/shot off at some point, and the entire crew went on a rampage because someone hurt Sanjis hands. (It was an accident, the person was only trying to kill him not maim him).

Sanji had never seen Chopper in particular that angry before, hadnt expected Nami and Usopp to charge in headfirst like that.

And its fine. Its awkward for a while but he relearns how to grip things, it doesnt take him overly long to get back to weilding his knives and whisks like he did before. Its fine.

But. Its his ring finger.

He knows it shouldnt matter that much. He can still cook, he can still explore the All Blue. He can still get married.

But he cant help but be just a little tiny bit completely devestated that he will never get to wear a wedding ring.
