[ The Pirates and Their Little Mermaid ]

Hey everyone! My friend @javelin505 and I published the first chapter of our Sonic the Hedgehog Pirate AU fic a couple of days ago, so if you're interested, please go check it out.

The ship's sides were battered by strong waves and freezing rain. Both the deck and the crew were drenched. Men shouted, but with every crash the thunder's roaring silenced them. Forcing the boat to stay upright, the mast swayed and wobbled. The moon was hidden by dark clouds. While streaky lightning studded the sky, the rain fell like ice-cold nails.

Pairing... Infinite the Jackal/Maria Robotnik, Shadow the Hedgehog/Maria Robotnik, Sonic the Hedgehog/Princess Elise, Maria Robotnik & Jackal Squad.

Genre... Pirate AU, Mermaid AU, Drama & Romance, Maria Robotnik Lives, Scary, Sirens, Action/Adventure, Adventure & Romance.

Synopsis... When rival crews and his own first mate express different sentiments for the mermaid, tensions between Captain Infinite and his Jackal crew, who have become friends with Maria, arise.

Author's Note... My friend @javelin505 and I decided to make a pirate AU fic around Maria Robotnik, Infinite, and his Jackal Squad.

reading up on pirate history to give my writing more realism and discovered that the first synagogue of the new world was built in Port Royal in the 1600s and the Caribbean had a thriving Jewish population...a pirate named Moses Cohen Henriques was THEE only person to ever capture a Spanish treasure fleet (James Flint eat your heart out!!)...Henry Morgan hired Jewish captains in his raids against the Spanish and they were all to happy to dish payback for the Inquisition....... this is so dope I wish this shit was in movies

Did a final of Luther. Finally after so much redesign and procrastination meet Captains second hand man, the nomad whose design was a mix between the monkey king and cid from final fantasy. He wears his fathers mala beads for good luck. He grew up in the desert, carrying a constant pair of googles for possible storms. Loves sitting about in the crows nest with a bottle of rum on break time. Besides the addiction, he’s definitely the voice of reason in tough times. And an amazing navigator to boot.
