I'm polyam and use He/it pronouns, im demiromantic and ace, and I have a bf (he/him/they and demisexual) and qpp (she/her and aroace). The two get along great. I'm with them both and they're quite close friends with each other. It's all long distance, too, which sucks lol. Aside from that, we have some people outside of our lives such as friends and family who supposedly judge our relationship with each other. It kinda sucks because we're all happy with each other, and neither of us has complaints. The only problem is that my BFs one friend is a very judgemental person and calls me a cheater for being polyam when there's literally zero cheating involved...I mean, they are AWARE of each other and are actually CLOSE FRIENDS, so what makes it cheating if all three of us are...aware..?! I would just like to state that I despise people who hate on platonic x romantic poly relationships. We aren't harming anyone, so why should they hate on us? It just kinda sucks that I've dealt with this for so long from these people. Nonetheless, I'm REALLY HAPPY with those two, and I love them more than anything.

Part of my demi aroace experience has been feeling like "sexual" tension or whatever tension I actually feel (idk how to call it rn) is honestly better than anything that could come after be it sexual, romantic, etc. Like, yearning and acting totally normal are the two modes I switch between with people once I decide to like them and I wish I had someone who also experienced things this way in the polycule a lot if I'm honest

But like...

Just to ramble about polyam QPRs (and this is something I don't know a lot about so this is just kinda me daydreaming) they just seem like... Such a wholesome thing?

I've never identified as polyam and I'm a questioning arospec (I'm definitely on that spectrum somewhere but figuring out where is a struggle) but like... The thought of living with a group of best friends? People that are more than friends but not quite lovers? Going grocery shopping and staying up late for movie nights and game nights and living together and feeling surrounded by people who love you even if it's not in a romantic way just sounds... So fufilling??

Even just the simple things like going to the grocery store as a polyam QPR sounds absolutely amazing

Making a grocery list and dividing it up and you could even have like... Races to see who could get their stuff on the list first?

Idk maybe I'm just romanticizing it all as someone that's never had a tight knit friend group but I think a polyam QPR would be really nice

i understand that many people are against polyamory but jfc maybe don't? what did we do to you?
