Proof that I am still actually writing the next chapter of Winter, not just procrastinating by posting previously-written smut on AO3 because I’m avoiding working on this Pod/Brienne scene that keeps punching my heart:

Pod sighs, and she feels him lean against the desk, a steady anchor beside her, his hand still warm on her shoulder. What is she trying to hide? He knows; he’d been among the first to know, in Winterfell, and she doesn’t know how long he must have suspected, before, but she wouldn’t wager on it. Pod’s been closer to her for longer than anyone but her father, and he can read her well enough. She hasn’t talked about this with anyone.

“He startled me,” she says, eventually.

Still working through ASOIAF, but I just have to take a moment to appreciate how the Baratheon brothers were written in terms of sexuality, with absolutely NO middle ground.

Robert: Bangs literally everything in sight. Has approximately 500 bastard children he sends a birthday card to with a crisp dollar bill stuck inside and that’s all the attention they get for a year. Is literally Zeus except his wife is more powerful.

Stannis: Completely married to his job. Has trouble knocking his own wife up; has no idea how Robert juggles eight hundred of them at once. Probably has a little chart and a counter he uses to keep track of when he bangs his wife so he doesn’t have to do it more than necessary.

Renly: THE GAY.
