Authors Note: Turns out I can fuck it up, if this actually happened and I just haven't made it that far yet, I hope its better than how it actually went down, and this is shockingly graphic and my first attempt at second POV, so, yeah, hope you enjoy.

You licked your lips as the blade in your hand dripped.

Your grip tightened as your lips curled into a smile so wide it appeared it didn't fit your face.

It was delicious.

As the troll below you quivered and gripped the deep slash on their shoulder you only wanted more.

It was delectable, compared to nothing like you had ever eaten before in your life.

You.

Wanted.

More.

You wanted more and more until it was gone, every last drop slurped up.

You had tried every other color flavor, and nothing held a candle to candy red.

Fuchsia burnt your tongue with how spicy it was.

Gold was felt like you were swallowing lemons.

Teal had no taste at all to mimic blindness.

Jade tasted like liquidized knives.

But this?

This impossible candy red?

It was perfect.

Even with the rust leftover on your blade it was untainted by such a grimy flavor.

Blade lodged in chest, ribs where flayed open and you drank from arteries of the trolls pulsating heart.

The fluid slid down your throat after coating your tongue, its nature viscous to the point it gets caught between your fangs. It pools under your tongue momentarily as the sheer amount tries to drip down your throat, spilling over your lips instead.

And the flavor.

The flavor.

It was exquisite.

It tasted like cherry... But it didn't, it tasted more like steak, no, no, not that. Your tongue was confused as flavors fluctuated from tomato to blood orange until it finally settled on one taste.

Iron.

A rich and unforgiving iron that grated your tongue in all the right ways. It almost burnt, but it was far to cold tasting for that to happen, the temperature was burning. It washed over your mouth and spilt into your stomach or onto the gaping corpse you planned to devour.

And even as you tore past skin, organs and bones to find more of that candy red blood.

You couldn't be satiated.

Edward is one of five main PoVs in TTK. He serves as the main view for the Aesir-based storyline, though his story becomes intertwined with the others' over time. Edward is a gifted knight, the last of an ancient bloodline that could very well rule over Aesir. Edward is honest, stubborn and a kind soul at heart. Even in his darkest moments, he will try find the least muddy way of surviving. He will do absolutely anything for his family even if it means betraying the values he holds dear.
