Rejoice evermore.Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Our fast-paced society, with its progress, has also produced much anxiety and mental instability. Millions, if not billions, are being spent yearly on pills and potions, counseling, and in and out patient treatment for depression and a host of psychological problems. The sad truth is that there are many Christians who have spent their money in this way only to end up worse off than before!

God, through the apostle Paul, gave us a simple, free, three part prevention and remedy prescription for these problems: rejoice, pray, give thanks. First, rejoice. Cheer up. There is always a reason to refresh your joy. Second, pray. Pray always, about everything, big or small. Third, give thanks. In all things, all situations, all the time.

It is well known that a positive attitude can make a world of difference in the lives of those who adopt it. Our creator knew what it takes for us to function at an optimal level. Rejoicing, conversing often with our creator, and giving him thanks in all things allows his power and love to flow through us unhindered with full force!
