Request: Forge x fem! reader where he finds out that reader is pregnant. He isn't sure what to do at first, or how exactly to react, but once the baby is out, he is completely enamored with the child. Forge never realized he wanted to be a father until he became one.

Summary: Reader is pregnant, by Forge, and he isn't entirely sure how to react or how to be a good father. Once Reader gives birth, Forge is over the moon with his new child and finally realizes the joy of fatherhood.

Extras: Just to make sure everyone is aware, I have never experienced pregnancy / child birth, as I am a man. I will write this the best I can, given my knowledge on the subject. If anything I've written here seems off, or I am false with some of the things I've written, please don't hesitate to correct me so I can fix my mistakes! Also this will be short!

There was a rustle in the blankets on Y/N's bed as she heard Forge shift beside her. It was late at night, the only light in the room was the one from the moon shining through the curtains of their bedroom. It had been a good three months since she and Forge had found out that she was pregnant. So equally speaking, she had been about five or six months pregnant. Y/N slowly lifted the covers off of herself and swung her feet over the bed. The baby kicked, and Y/N jerked forward in pain. She groaned in pain, waking Forge up in the process. Forge sat up in bed and ran a hand through his hair quickly before he moved over and sat beside his wife.

"Are you alright, darling?"

Y/N nodded, smiling softly at her husband before setting her head on his shoulder. "Yes, I'm alright. Just the baby kicking.."

Forge grimaced before returning his face back to a smile. He pressed a kiss on Y/N's cheek, and helped her out of bed to get to the bathroom.

Time passes slowly, and painfully for Y/N as she hobbled around with the baby in her. The months passed even slower than imagined, and soon it was time for her to give birth to the little baby!

After hours of excruciating pain, the baby was out and cleaned. A nurse handed the little baby girl to Y/N, and she smiled tiredly at her daughter. The nurses spoke amongst themselves before one of them asked what the baby was going to be named.

"Uhm..." Y/N stared at her baby, unprepared. She furrowed her brow, and then Forge spoke up.

"What if we named her Theodosia? After your late grandmother?"

"Oh I actually really like that... Little baby Theodosia.." Y/N spoke to her baby with the name on her lips, and smiled. The nurse wrote down Theodosia and then they all left Forge and Y/N alone in the company of their baby. Y/N glanced over at Forge, seeing that he was crying. She turned her full gaze to him and frowned.

"Aw baby, what's wrong?"

"I just didn't.... I didn't know if I wanted to be a father.." Forge began, wiping his tears off his face quickly. "But, but then I saw her and knew I was willing to try to be a good father for her.."

Y/N's eyes widened for a second before she smiled, pulling Forge into a soft kiss.

"You'll be a great father, darling."

It's done!!! I know it's short but if you guys want a part two where you guys raise Theodosia, I can definitely make this a series! Pregnancy isn't really my writing strong suit, but I'll make sure to do some research so I can be more equipped for next time I have to write it :D
