Now Let´s go on with Present Continuous!
Ejemplo: You are studying English.
Establecer contextos.
Ejemplo: She is working a lot lately.
Ejemplo: They are going to the zoo next Saturday.
Mencionar hechos temporales.
Ejemplo: Today is snowing, but yesterday was sunny.
Ejemplo: The birds are always singing since sunrise

Unit 1 Present continuous and present simple 1
Continuous
2. Mental state verbs в Continuous
Continuous:
He's considering taking early retirement. (не ~~He considers taking~~)
Present Simple:
I promise to help you.
We suggest you leave now.
Список: acknowledge, admit, advise, apologise, beg, confess, congratulate, declare, deny, forbid, guarantee, name, order, permit, predict, promise, refuse, remind, request, thank, warn
I don't deny taking the books. ≈ I'm not denying taking the books.
I don't promise anything. ≈ I'm not promising anything.
I would advise you to arrive early.
I must beg you to keep this secret.

1.2
Dear Aunt Mara,
Thanks for your message. I appologise for not getting back to you sooner, but I've been incredibly busy. When I went into nursing, you warned me that it would be really hard work, but I admit that I didn't really believe you. Don't get me wrong - I don't suggest/ am not suggesting that I'm not enjoying it. It's incredibly rewarding, but I now realise/ 'm now realising how hard the job is. When I get home I just eat (not very well, I confess) and go straight to bed. It doesn't help that the bus journey to the hospital is so slow. I'm considering buying a car, which will make things easier, I hope.
And what about you?How do you find/ are you finding living in a village after so many years in the city? I know how difficult it is for you to travel such a long way, but it would be lovely if you could come and stay with me for a weekend. I've got plenty of room in my flat. I don't guarantee/ am not guaranteeing to cook as well as you do, but I promise to find time to show you around this lovely old town.
Hope to see you soon. Keep in touch.
Love,
Martina
learning this sentence construction in dutch!
hij ligt te slapen: he is sleeping
ik sta te praten: I am talking
we staan nog steeds te wachten: we are still waiting
where liggen and staan become to be in the translation??
idk I'm fascinated by present continuous in different languages, where in french you'd have to add 3 WORDS "en train de" +infinitive but mandarin chinese simplifies it with 在 (ex: 他在說話) (or 正在 to emphasize the present moment) but these focus on the time element, dutch introduces position verbs? for present continuous? it's confusing but strangely compelling
