For they could potentially be the first to betray,

All that you were once led to believe to be good,

Could force you to hide in dark place within your heart...

Having no one to talk to just makes me want to isolate and shut the world out completely

This just occurred to me: In the aftermath of whatever whump situation A went through, their good friend B starts to avoid them or acts more distance around them after they’ve mostly healed or maybe even during A’s recovery. A is completely confused as to why B is acting so aloof (or maybe they do know and confront B about it eventually).

Perhaps A’s presence dredges up all the pain, fear, and emotional turmoil they all went through for B and all they can think about when they look at A is that horrific event and how much pain A was going through. Maybe B is trying to distance themselves because they’re scared of losing A and think that if they distance themselves from them, it won’t hurt as much if they lose them. Maybe B just doesn’t know how to talk to A after all this happened. Maybe it’s a mix of all these things.

The not knowing is the worst!
