after burning it to the ground

you want to rebuild

yet you set fire to every new foundation

you burn wildly

at first it was warm

inviting, enevloping

but the longer i stood in the

the more it burned

i tried to quell your flames

continously pouring water onto you

drowning myself in the process

the ocean is my home

yet i lose my ability to swim with you

drowning

burning

suffocating

i can longer suffer

if you must burn

then you burn alone
