A) Close Grip Bench Press 5rm
5 x 33#
5 x 43#
5 x 53#
5 x 58#
5 x 63#
5 x 68#
5 x 73#
Definitley a PR. I've been trying to do more than 3 reps with 73# since last summer. So happy I don't hate benching anymore!
B) For time, 33 reps of each:
Chest to Bar PullUp
Pistol/alternating
Deficit HSPU
Triple Unders/ Double Unders x2 =66
Knees to Elbow
We had a cap. I think it was 20 minutes. I didn't finish; I only made it through 14 Knees to Elbows. Double Unders went smoothly. Honestly, the thing that was the most frustrating was the pull-ups; I don't move as quickly as I'd like. Pistols felt GREAT.

Level 1
A) 12 minute EMOM of
1 Squat Clean and Push Jerk
*increase weight each set or until you find the perfect weight.
I started with 53# on the bar and worked up to 93#, though I only successfully lifted 88#. I spent the last five minutes trying to get 93# up. I dropped into the point of no return on my squat the first two attempts; convinced myself to do less of a squat for the next. Successfully did the clean, but failed to drop under the bar fast enough to really explode up on my jerk. My second attempt was so close, though. I got the bar up past eye level, but couldn't pull off a full lockout. Oh well. Felt good to really push my limits -- I've never made that many attempts to max before.
12–9–6 for time:
Power Clean
Front Squat
Push Jerk
*find a tough weight (75% of 1RM), ideally use 1 bar for all 3 movements.
I spent the whole day thinking this was a complex but nope -- it was lots of reps of everything. I started with 65# on the bar but dropped to 63# after my sets of 12. I did three sets of four reps on the 12, three sets of three reps on the 9, and two sets of three reps on the 6 -- except the cleans, which ended up being singles because my hand stung so much (I tore four reps in to the whole workout). So much standing up with the barbell. I finished in 14:10. It's rare that I want to quit a workout in the middle of it, but I came so close. Honestly, I probably would have if John hadn't come over and helped me count out my last 12 reps. I've never been so happy to finish a wod, but I was really proud of myself for taking it to that dark place. Felt good.
