Eric Kripke is such a misogynistic homophobic bastard that he took a fundamentally queer story and he tried to straighten by adding on his own additional layers of misogyny and homophobia and Supernaturals own special brand of toxic masculinity, together with the queer writers who came after him, manifested the most accurate representation of the closeted bisexual character in television history
So that when queer writers eventually took over, the characters were already fundamentally queer, so when the queer writers eventually took over, that shit just became plot
