You sat at the table sipping your tea. You looked around the coffee shop waiting for Bakugou to show up. You checked your phone and put it back down. He was running late. You sipped a bit more until you saw your phone ringing.
You flipped it over thinking it was Bakugou, but it wasn’t.
You answered with a confused “Hello? Eiji. Are you okay?” you asked a bit worried. “I’m okay, it’s just Bakugou.” he said in a shaky voice. Your heart dropped, worried for the worst. “He’s not dead or anything,” Kirishima continued. “He just got hurt pretty badly.” You stood up from the table placing down a $20 bill for the tea, which was more than what it cost. You rushed out of the shop holding the phone to your ear, slinging your bag over your shoulder. “What happened?” you asked, desperate for some answers.
“I saw Bakugou walking to the coffee shop and joined him for a little. Some small time villains were messing with some civilians and we stepped in. Well we caught them and while they were being arrested, one of them sent this bullet thing out of his back and it hit a building. A piece of the building broke off but there was a lady and her kid under. Bakugou reacted fast and pushed them out of the way, but he got crushed under it. Luckily the explosions he used to propel himself forward blasted some of it up. He’s alive, just kind of injured.” Kirishima explained.
You felt your heart sink as you ran towards the hospital. “Eiji!” you yelled into the phone. “Yes?” you heard him respond on the other end.
“My quirk, I could heal him! Tell the doctors to just keep him stable.” You heard Kirishima yell to the doctors. I’ll be right there Baku, please just hold on. Your brain was going in circles as you neared the hospital and burst through the doors.
You burst through running right into Kirishima. “Where is he?” you asked breathing heavily. “Come on!” he shouted and you both ran through the halls and up the stairs. You turned the corner and there it was.
Bakugou was laid out on a bed with nurses and doctors checking his vitals and wounds. “She’s here!” one of the doctors shouted. Everyone cleared a path for you and you walked up to Bakugou’s bed.
His eyes were closed and he had wounds on his shoulders. He was bruised and You noticed the metal pole stuck in his chest. You quickly removed the pole, and began using your quirk on the wound. Your quirk can instantly repair bone and skin tissue. You began to heal him, fixing him from the inside out.
You wiped away the excess blood with a nearby cloth and then tended to the wounds on his head and shoulders. The doctors watched in awe, amazed by your quirk. Kirishima smirked already knowing what you could do.
After you finished you caressed the side of his face, brushing back his hair a little. The doctors began filing out of the room leaving you, Kirishima, and Bakugou alone.
Kirishima placed a hand on your shoulder, I’ll give you two a moment.
You played with Baku’s hair softly and watched him sleep peacefully. You carried on like this for a while. “Oi...dumbass….” you heard him say in a raspy voice. “Is..is that you?” You giggled a little. “No it’s Cinderella.” Bakugou opened his eyes in confusion. Squinting up at you. “No… you’re way too pretty to be that blonde bimbo.” You laughed as Bakugou cracked a small smile. He loved hearing your laugh.
“You.. healed me right? Why… why can’t I move?” You rustled his hair softly. “You have been healed yes, but you still need to relax.” you responded softly. You felt Bakugou try to sit up, but he only managed to shuffle around a little.
“Teddy bear…” Bakugou said, his voice still shaky. “Yes Baku?” you responded.
“I’m sorry about our date,” he said. He looked up at you, his eyes sad and worried. “We…. we can do it again, I’ll make it better this time.” he said weakly. You smiled gently, holding his hand in yours. “I know, but right now you need to rest.”
Bakugou weakly lifted his arm, placing his hand against your right cheek. You leaned into his hand and placed your hand on his cheek. “Please… don’t leave yet Teddy Bear. I hate these loser doctors… always.. So annoy...annoying.” he said, his voice still weak.
“I will always be here Baku.”
