Linked article: DEI benefits white women more than anyone else.
OP: See! DEI initiatives actually help conservatives! They're voting against their own interests!
I can try a TLDR from my own personal experience with a full ex-family of Trumpers:
Conservatives think that DEI is about helping undeserving blacks and rabid mixed race gays take jobs from more qualified white men.
When in reality DEI is helping Conservatives more than any other bracket in the form of allowing more space for White women and disabled white male veterans more than any other demographic.
They voted against themselves because they didn't check the sources of their talking heads.
Buddy, you know "white women" aren't the same as "conservatives", right?
The stereotypical progressive is a white woman.
Also, from the linked article;
For example, Black professionals are nearly four times as likely as white professionals to say they've experienced racial prejudice at work.
That assumes black and white people report perceived racism at the same rate.
There are loads of folks who don't even believe white people can be victims of racism.
While many white women have made gains in American workplaces, the gains for racial and ethnic minority women haven't been as significant. According to another McKinsey study, white women hold nearly 19% of all C-suite positions, while racial and ethnic minority women only hold 4%. Overall, white women have benefited disproportionally from corporate DEI efforts.
"Okay, but what about the entire rest of the company, not just the executives?"
Off the top of my head, if the company promotes based on merit, don't progressives often argue that black people are generally underprivileged compared to white people? Including in education?
>Black women who are often numerically under-represented in professional occupations regularly grapple with how to counteract negative racial stereotypes that undermine their professional images in the office. In response, they often have to strategically engage in code-switching, by adjusting their speech, appearance, and behaviors to try and fit in.
Isn't...isn't that a work thing in general? As well as a society thing in general?
Also, the article says nothing about disabled white male veterans, so W* either got that from another article, or he's confusing his fetish with reality.
And I say "fetish" because the gallery has an entire category of AI "art" of handsome white dudes with disabilities.
