I love bts pics that are in costume because it's like Hugh discovered the joys of holo-images and just randomly was like "but first, let's get a holo."

Star Trek: Picard | s01e08 | Broken Pieces
I’ve been in love with pixmit since we first saw it in Star Trek: Picard, so I just had to explore the idea of Romulan pixmit readers as being analogous to human tarot/lenormand/rune/etc. readers!

I also think that a central message of Picard is that of racism — human racism against Romulans, Romulan racism against synths, and varying degrees of human racism against synths.
Narissa saw a vision so powerful that it broke most people who witnessed it. But she didn't run away from the horror — she ran toward it, intent on saving the galaxy from destruction. But as loyal and thoughtful as she is, Narissa’s fundamental flaw is her racism against synthetic life.
If instead of Picard deeming the synths “children” (which they most certainly were not) and deciding the synths just needed to get to know organics to be able to co-eixst with them (which the synths had tried and been executed for by both Starfleet and Romulans) ... what if the climax of Picard had been Narissa recognizing her racism? What if she had been helped by an xB or a synth and seen the sentience in their eyes, the relatability to her own personhood? What if Narissa had decided that saving the universe could mean partnering with Picard and his motley crew and she then helped them negotiate with the synths to understand that organics are trying their best and may stumble and fall sometimes, but perhaps both synths and organics can learn from each other?
That’s what I wanted for Narissa, and for Picard
I think that would have taken longer than roughly 10 hrs to be believeable - for me at least.
That being said, Narissa had a link to xBs/Synths in Ramdha. She clearly still loved her aunt despite her being an xB. So I go for Narissa surviving the fall due to her personal transporter, making her way to Coppelius Station after the Motley Crew has left & finding Ramdha there. Confusion ensues because “no, dear, I do not need to be rescued” etc.
Here’s to hoping they use the deleted scenes as flashbacks in season 2 (which they won’t).
Imagine being so fucking depressed that you trigger a submatrix collapse of a Borg Cube after they assimilate you.
“That’s perfect. The idea that former Borg might be able to create a mythol- ...a shared narrative framework for understanding their trauma, rooted in deep archetypes, but as relevant as the day’s news. That's just what I'm hoping to do.”
