Fast + healthy lunch = lettuce boats filled with veggies and protein and a dressing. For this: shredded carrots, diced cucumber, avocado, diced Black Forest ham, and Japanese miso dressing (I like this one)

the dark side of raw veganism
awhile ago, I stumbled upon a TikTok video that said, “Raw Veganism would reverse any disease known to humankind”. I’m a vegan, but... here’s the problem with that. I believe that people should be able to bring a practice to what they eat. Meaning, people can/should be raw vegans if they want that for themselves. However, the medical claim that it will fix any disease is extremely dangerous because it brings false medical promises. There’s a difference between recommending that people modify their diet, or maintain their health by opting into plant-based diets, and saying that it will fix any disease you may have. The medical-industrial complex has had issues with prescribing large amounts of medicine for profit rather than providing accessible options to people. But as a non-medical professional, I would not tell people that a specific diet will cure any disease you have because that is medically incorrect. Disease and illnesses are complex cases because various factors go into how people's bodies respond. Yes, many traditions throughout the world have eaten raw foods. However, modern human bodies have evolved for us to be eating cooked foods. The idea that one diet is the automatic cure for all diseases neglects people’s unique situations and environments. What are your thoughts on raw veganism, and the claim that it will cure any disease? (I've seen and read anecdotes of people choosing certain lifestyles/diets, and it reversed their pain or health issue, but that's not to say it's the end all be all solution)

STOP COOKING VEGETABLES
salads and veggie dip platters are the only acceptable ways to consume vegetables
Eat your veggies! Serves 1 2 handfuls kale 1 handful carrots 1 handful purple cabbage 1 handful green Savoy cabbage 1 handful yellow zucchini 1 tomato 1 avocado
A salad full of raw vegetables without olive oil is almost useless. Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat soluble, meaning our bodies can’t absorb and use them unless fat (olive oil/ coconut oil / ghee / avocado oil) is present. Also flavonoids and other polyphenols are enhanced if we add fat. That’s why it’s a good idea to always add olive oil as dressing.
