'Re-Loaded - 'The Consumer''
[DOS / PS1] [USA] [MAGAZINE] [1996]
"The Consumer Her teeth have been enhanced so they can shear through bone with a single bite. Rocket pods have also been fitted to her shoulders and are set on a neural hair trigger. Consequently The Consumer has to concentrate hard to make them NOT go off. There is one advantage to them though, with their unique Agent I orange explosive, the meat that they blow up is cooked, bite sized and has a delicate orangy flavor subtle enough to please even Lloyd Grossman." ~Re-Loaded Manual

Re-Loaded (PlayStation) Re-Loaded is a 1996 action shooter developed by Gremlin Interactive, and is the sequel to Loaded (1995). Known for its dark, violent tone and eccentric characters, Re-Loaded features improved graphics and an array of strange anti-heroes, like Sister Magpie and Butch, who are deformed and unusual in appearance. The game’s mission-based structure spans 12 distinct worlds where players must complete objectives while battling numerous enemies.

Armed with a variety of weapons—such as plasma cannons, lasers, and ultra bombs—players engage in fast-paced, top-down shooter gameplay, all within a sci-fi landscape filled with chaos and carnage. Re-Loaded also offers a split-screen multiplayer mode, allowing two players to join forces or go head-to-head in the brutal environments.
The gameplay combines point-and-click interactions with shooter segments, where players solve puzzles, examine environments, and converse with characters to advance the plot.

I got a kick out of this visual gag in the game Re-Loaded. It shows a parody of the Sistine Chapel painting, "The Creation of Adam", but with yahweh and Adam pointing guns at each-other instead of fingers.
While I was playing through Hotline Miami 1 and 2, my wife remarked that it kinda reminded her of the "Loaded" games on Playstation. I later played both Loaded and Re-Loaded, and knowing that Hotline Miami 2 comes with a level editor, thought it would be fun to try to do a mashup of the two games, attempting to recreate all of the levels from Loaded and Reloaded in a Hotline Miami campaign. I worked on this project for quite a while but eventually put it on hiatus because I was frustrated with bugs in the level editor (I had to strip down the detail and game-play in multiple maps because the editor kept corrupting them), and honestly, a bit burned out from some of the toxic Hotline Miami fans I'd encountered while researching things, too. I would like to finish this sometime but for now I'm focused on other projects. Still, I wanted to upload what I currently have made. I didn't get a campaign system set up, but you can still play the individual levels within the level editor.
