reading week let’s gooo (will be spending the break oscillating between studying, not studying, wishing i was not studying, and hating myself for not studying)
10/30/2025
Alright so a couple of things, I’ve been super sick for about the majority of my reading week which sucks because I had a lot of plans I had to cancel and could hardly do much of anything. That being said I’m still sick but on the path of recovery so now I more so have a mild cold (tonsils, clogged nose, headache).
One really nice thing that happened though was getting my grades back for my one anthropology class where I’m getting 100s left and right — it actually left me quite giddy. The professor is either super nice or just straight glazing at this point. Not that I’m complaining I mean he literally wrote “Applause” as one of the comments and gave me extra marks. Yeah that’s right I got like 110%, granted the entire assignment is really only worth like 5% of the entire course weight but still that’s pretty dang nice of him and I hope I can keep up this streak. I might end up asking for an extension on the next assignment though because I’ve been so useless this reading week. But yeah, that’s been a really nice mood lifter in these trying times. I have to cram for the next assignment due tomorrow on Halloween for my fantasy class and write my daily journals (I get extra marks), and then besides that try really hard to get some semblance of work done in terms of readings. Good things to come lads. See you in the next one.
Reading Week Study Plan 4th-10th of November {For those that do not study in the UK, reading week is basically a week in the middle of the semester without any lectures, dedicated for students to revise previous content from the last weeks of classes and to relax from constant lectures and seminars!} Here is a general list of what I will be doing (crossed = done):
Vector Calculus:
Re-do all weekly tests Re-do all exercise sheets Re-do all assignments Finish all Springer exercises
Optics:
Re-do all assignments Re-do all exercise chapters Revise all notes and problem classes
Quantum Mechanics:
Re-do all exercises Re-do all assignments Revise all material and assigned reading
Thermodynamics:
Re-do all assignments Re-do all assigned exercises Revise all material Make notes of lectures playlist
Philosophy of Science:
Finished all of Kuhn's readings Finished all of Popper's readings Start planning and structuring arguments
Additional work:
Finish occupational report and CV analysis Finish scientific computation report Finish Data Ethics Frameworks project
{My aim is to at least partially check this entire list. I have spent the last two days working solely on reports and projects and have deprived the revision of my module s' materials and preparation for exams. I wish all of those studying in the UK, a relaxing and productive reading week!}
Reading week has arrived so I need to plan how I am going to spend my time effectively so I don’t regre not being productive!👩🏾🏫
reading week is almost over and the only reading I've done is fanfiction
I don't want reading week to end I'm still sleepy :(
