another self-inserty freelancer headcanon because freelancer is me and i am them

i'm a big fan of physical touch love language freelancer. i think they're always passively touching their friends (leaning on them, holding hands, kicking under the table, etc) when they hang out. gavin isn't safe from that, of course! they're practically attached to him at the hip when they're together (linking arms, laying on top of him, sitting in his lap)

It’s that time of the year again where my toes turn purple from chilblain because Aussie houses aren’t built for the cold so here’s some non canon Damien hcs to warm myself up

He’ll hold you just that little bit tighter in winter and tap into his magic to warm you up.

You were clingy before, but now you’re attached to him at the hip. If he’s in the kitchen cooking you’re holding him from behind, pressing your cheek into his back and sighing at the warmth seeping into your body. On the couch you’ll be sitting in his lap instead of next to him, burying yourself in between his arms as he enveloped you in his embrace. In bed you’re stuck to him like a koala. He pretends to be annoyed, but you don’t miss the way his hand holds yours, thumb rubbing the back of it as if asking you to stay.

Damien will hold your hand whenever he can to warm them up. He knows your extremities are usually the coldest and even turn purple sometimes, so he’ll prevent it by turning into your own personal hand warmer. Every few moments he’ll also bring your hand to his lips and kiss it.

You usually run cold, so in winter you have to be bundled up like a burrito just to stay warm. He knows you don’t like how your movement is restricted though, so he’ll warm the entire room up with his magic for you so you can walk around in a simple knit.

Hot chocolate every night as you cuddle together

Every bath together stays at the perfect temperature

Gives you a hand warmer made from his magic for you to take to work. It always stays warm, and you love it. It’s like you can always feel his presence with you. He smiles when you reunite in the evening and your fingers aren’t cold as he holds your hand.

Will cup your cheeks with his hand to warm them up (as well as bring you in for a kiss)
