I'd like to inform everyone that Milo and Sweetheart have been mates for nine years this year.

On a depressing note, Gabe passed nine years ago.

Just a fun little reminder now that I think about it.

Home for the holidays, and surprise I have more Shaw Pack headcannons......I really need to focus on other groups & characters than endlessly yapping about this group don't I?

Gabe Shaw

⤷Was widely known for ruffling the pack kids hair or giving them head pats as a greeting or whenever he was done giving them advice.

⤷Got the pack kids names mixed up on a regular basis, after they tell him their name again he'd snap his fingers and tell them he knew that.

⤷Had a few silly tattoos and a few piercings he got as a teenager

⤷Was a bit denial about his age and tried doing things he used to do as a teen without issue. Only to briefly limp around due to overexerting himself but has this stupid wide smile on his face despite the pain he's in.

David Shaw

⤷For some reason no matter how many times it happened, he never ducks down far enough whenever he has too and ends up bonking his head. Had a few instances where he's been knocked over onto his back.

⤷Has the smoothest driving skills, to the point even his turns feel oddly safe. Not once does it feel like he's speeding or he's making any harsh turns.

⤷Has to talk louder than usual at times so people can hear him clearly due to his deep voice.

⤷ Turns into a bed hogger depending how tired he is.

Angel ꒰ঌ ໒꒱

⤷Really enjoys hallmark movies, enjoys it more if they're watching one during a pack movie night due to Sam's, David's & Milo's commentary towards the cookie cutter storyline and characters.

⤷ Aside from playing cozy video games as a way to calm down, also does those little tiny doll models as a way to relax.

⤷ Sneezes with their whole body and is loud.

⤷ Isn't much of an workaholic anymore unless they have a deadline coming up or a project going on.

Asher Talbot

⤷ Before Sam, Asher was genuinely the only person who could get a hold of Darlin within seconds, and aware of their whereabouts. Was notably more anxious for time whenever Darlin went back to Washington and became radio silence.

⤷ Doesn't slow down whenever he running inside, instead he uses the walls & counter to stop him.....he has a shit ton of bruises.

⤷ Has a wide collection of games from childhood to now, which keeps growing due to David & Milo giving him games they once owned or bought and know he'll play them.

⤷Saw those "kidnapping pet" videos on tik tok and tried it with Aggro. All of hell broke loose that day which shortly got turned into a funny story over time.

Babe 𐂯

⤷Still enjoys messing with Asher about getting a possible pet just to see him whine and pout about how he's way better than some house pet.

⤷Started wearing flavored chapstick more frequently after Asher turned it into a game to see if he can guess what flavor it is.

⤷Has to either sometime triple or double the back whenever they're baking and Sam & Darlin are visiting due to fact Darlin & Asher would throw down over the last cookie.

⤷Actively still trying on getting Asher to grasp some kind of concept of cooking rather than him possibly burning down their home.

Marie Greer

⤷ Had a close brother & sister relationship with Gane and was forever thankful for his help in looking after Milo.

⤷ Sometimes wonders what life would've been like if she had up and left Colm with Milo.

⤷ Den mother of the pack, jokingly threatened the others to smack as if they were misbehaving kids whenever they started get rowdy. The mates have sometimes gotten caught in the cross fire due to their mates (who are grown adults) using them as shields as to try and avoid getting hit by Marie's shoe.

⤷Aging gracefully.

Colm Greer

⤷ Definitely the reason why Marie & his relationship with their previous pack was a hot mess.

⤷ Got into a few arguements with Frank and Gabe about his addiction and being a father to Milo.

⤷Was momentarily clean during Milo's pre-teen years, only to relapse a shortly after leading to their ever first nasty argument.

⤷As a way to keep the peace within the pack, both him and Milo hardly acknowledge each other.

Milo Greer

⤷ Was envious people having a healthy relationship with their dads growing up which slowly faded away as he got older, and accepted fact it was never going to happen with his father.

⤷ Biggest couch surfer in his pre-teen-teen years, until Marie & Gabe some how finally convince him to go live with Gabe during his junior & senior year of high school and until he could find a place of his own.

⤷ As much as he loves and spoils Aggro, much to his dismay he can't get him to quit trying to groom him in the middle of the night. What's worse is that Aggro keeps going for his hair rather than his chest or arms.

⤷Loves, loves, loves it whenever Sweetheart caresses the side of his face or underneath his chin like a damn cat, especially when they do it as a way to calm him down whenever he's riled up about something. You can just see his rigid posture slowly soften as he leans into them and his pupils dilating.

Sweetheart 𓏲ּ𝄢

⤷Bought Aggro one of those pet strollers to take him out walks to now it become one of his main transportation whenever he's taken to one of the other place or a close vacation spot that allow pets.

⤷Has moments where they've forgotten to phase through walls which makes a loud bonk noise before they cloak out of embarrassment.

⤷Due to being a stealth, they hardly possess a natural scent making it hard for them to be detected.

⤷ Used to have frequent panic attacks until they met Milo & Aggro to where it slowly lessened overtime.

Darlin ࣪ ִֶָ☾.

⤷Second biggest couch surfer within the pack, however, they mostly stayed at Asher's place or ended up leaving Dahila in general and came back once things or they cooled down.

⤷For some reason anything on wheels is just out to get them, they've been hit by a kid on a bicycle, rammed by an older person on those motor scooters in the grocery store, hit by multiple cars throughout their life.

⤷ Biggest sweet tooth to the point it driven them to consume an unhealthy amount of raw batter before. Always has something sweet on them.

⤷Definitely made some off hand comment about Milo being from the east coast first time they met.

Sam Collins

⤷Has a collection of various teas and coffees.

⤷Has a best dad ever mug that he uses on a basis from Bright Eyes & Fredrick who jokingly gave it to him on father's day.

⤷ Secretly a big time procrastinator towards thing he doesn't want to deal with so he invites David over as a way to get it done and over.

⤷Naturally ambidextrous.

Gabe Shaw always was a man of specific taste.

He was never a drinker, but when he did get beer, it was the same, old, cheap beer brand.

He had grown up with it and didn't want to let it go.

When David was a teen, Gabe might've given a small taste of his beer to the smaller Shaw, a hand over the ring of his wife, still polished every week, that hung around his neck, as if covering her eyes from beyond the grave.

Nowadays David still buys that same, old, cheap beer. The label design has changed, and they're only sold in certain stores, but it still tastes the same. It might not be Davids most favorite, but he always felt the memories of his father.

He had grown up with it and didn't want to let it go.

[ ] For father's day, Gabe always got a handmade card from David. They initially started with wobbly letters of a kindergartener who barely could hold a pencil in his hand, then they turned more professional, but they never lost the love that was put into them. David found the box stashed with every single one kept intact, when he was clearing his things after his passing. Gabe never threw away a single one, a memento forever cherished in his heart despite the stick figures of him and David barely looking similar to the real ones.

[ ] Frank once spent a father's day at the ER with sniffling Asher on his lap because they boy got an amazing idea of climbing yet another tree (as if the first accident didn't teach him anything). Feeling guilty about the ruined day, he kept crying quietly, but Frank only kept wiping his tears and saying it was fine and he didn't make him upset. He was worried more about the fractured bone than the "ruined day" and gift that was waiting for him at home (Ash got him a model of a car with the money he got while selling lemonade with his sister)

[ ] If Milo can recall any good moments from his childhood about father's day, it was that one time he came home from school, later than usual, tired and hungry, to see a bag with a note by the door to the apartment he and his Ma lived in. Gabe didn't have to, but still made sure that the boy ate a homemade meal when his mother worked the night shifts. French toast tastes good even if reheated, and the bottle of maple syrup made it all better. The rest of the delicious leftovers were saved for another meal. He made sure to thank him the next time they saw each other, hug offered to someone who may have not been his dad, but deserved the appreciation of being one.

[ ] William knew nothing about the tradition since he did not care or had any children of his own, but once, after a prolonged absence, his office was cleaned. Not as in "everything thrown away and sparkling" but it was organised. Stacks of documents stored in cardboard boxes, the projects, and ongoing transactions all piled in one place, sorted by date. The whole room aired out, fire already lit up in the fireplace. The only thing he had to do was to sit down and work. No one said anything, but he sensed the faint traces of magic used by his progenies. (I wonder how he would feel if he knew most of them hate him now)

It’s actually really cute how David has gotten to see all his loved ones get promotions.

He’s experienced:

Angel’s promotion at work

Asher’s promotion within the pack

Gabe’s promotion into heaven

@yunaflxs gave me the idea of Gabe and David roughhousing together and Angel getting to see it

Like imagine Angel and the mates sitting up on the porch while the wolves shift and play around with each other

Gabe wasn't in on it to start but when he comes out and sees his pack playing he can't resist the urge to join in and show them why he's still the alpha

David was in the process of pinning down Tank with Asher on his side trying to push him off. Gabe approached quietly of course, a skilled hunter that never rushes when he's on the prowl. Not shifting until he's right next to David, he joins Asher on the side and together they roll David off of Tank

Gabe's wolf is massive. Bigger than both his sons and Tanks, which means he is the single largest wolf the pack has ever seen. So to watch a wolf that large and powerful run around like a puppy and playing with his son in a way that makes Angel hold their breath

Excitement and a little bit of nervousness in their scent catches David's nose for a second and it distracts him just long enough for Gabe to get the upper hand and slam him down to the soft grass below

Which results in a startled noise from Angel out of concern for their mate. Once the excitement does down a little all the mates make their way down to the grass so they can play in a more gentle manner with their wolves

And finally Angel is able to get face to face with the giant grinning wolf faces of their mate and his dad. Gabe loves Angel, he thinks they're one of the best things to have happened to the pack in a long time. Which is exactly why he nudges them with his nose before pushing them over into a bush and howls with laughter at David's startled reaction

The poor man not sure if he should go after his mate and help them up, or tackle the wolf that did it to them in the first place

And the pack has a lovely evening of playing around
