This project is to fund two books for two game systems (D&D 5E and Shadow of the Demon Lord): the Trade War adventure path and Imperial Matchmaker urban mega adventure.
Trade War's 5E version is 338 pages that are 100% FINISHED in a gorgeous hardcover book! It ties together 6 existing adventures into one narrative that has PCs traveling all over the continent of Soburin before facing off against the Pale Master in Hone-Noroi bone keep as fierce battle rages in its shadow. You can watch a walkthrough of the print proof in a 12 minute video at the bottom of the project page.
Imperial Matchmaker happens entirely in the metropolis of Sanbaoshi (the capital of the Imperial Prefecture) over the course of 1 month where the emperor has declared 20 brides and grooms from four warring clans to get married, thus ending ages of intrigue and conflict.

Howdy folks!
I’m Mike, and I know it’s been a while since there was a post on this account. The website ManySidedDice.com is run by a friend of mine, and when I was a regular contributor I took it upon myself to start a profile here (as I already use Tumblr and he doesn’t). When life got in the way I wasn’t able to contribute anymore, and my posts here stopped pretty quickly.
But now my friend is getting ready to drop a book on KIckstarter with well over 100 of the creepy, odd, dangerous, and cool magic items he’s been designing for the past few years. It will be fully illustrated, by a team of awesome artists, and packed to the gills with flavor that can be inserted into any fantasy setting.
Did I mention that I’m editing it? It’s certainly going to have its own style.

Completing Our First Tabletop RPG Adventure with a Toddler:
We did it, we finished our first ever tabletop RPG adventure with a toddler (Fairies of the Mistglade: The Cursed Garden)! If you missed it, be sure to check out Catch’s recap of our adventure on our website (link below). Catch is the name our three-year-old gave to his paladin character. He comprehended the entire story-line and added his own little details to the adventure (Marigold’s race car, hunting for spiders on our walks around the neighborhood, using other toys to build rivers and mountains, etc.). He took a line out of one of his favorite Groovy Joe books in his adventure recap when he was telling his dad how the problem was resolved, “it’s awesome to share!” This is the perfect line for a three-year-old to use when describing how a fairy and a witch could put their differences aside and figure out how to be happy together.
We found out that Catch takes the books we read him to heart when figuring out how to interact with others, as proven in his adventure recap. As a parent, it was amazing to listen to him use the Groovy Joe line in his story and prove that he is listening to and using the lessons from the books we read to him nightly. This begs the question, is reading books to a child enough? Or is it when we combine our bedtime reading with imagination, interactive play, crafting, and direct instruction that the lessons begin to stick? Does our time spent role-playing how to react to misunderstood witches, bullies, bandits, and general bad guys help even further? We cannot be with him all the time and we want him to learn how to best interact in all social situations, so why not practice them at home in fun scenarios involving fairies, witches, and bullywogs?!?!
