Look at me as a little beet-faced baby after running my first ever 5K in 33:29. This was back before I even lived in the area! I traveled here for it from Alabama in 2010 and 2011 before moving to the DC Metro in 2012.

This year I’ll be running my 9th Race for Hope DC 5K sponsored by @acceleratebraincancercure. I missed last year due to a wedding, but still did a treadmill 5K so maybe I can count it as my 10th?!

The Easter Bunny brought us new running shoes!
. 
Oh wait there is no such thing as the Easter Bunny and I’m an adult who’s working multiple side hustles. With my most recent BODYPUMP instructor pay I bought myself a new pair of @hokaoneone and while I was online shopping I bought my fiancé a new pair of @saucony since his are WORN with holes. I should note by some act of fate his shoes, available in only one size (his), were on clearance for $30. So I get to be generous without blowing my budget either! 
. 
We have a 5K that we run annually in 2 weeks that he’s been training for in hopes to do sub 25. I thought getting him new shoes would help!

Wilson Komen of Washington, DC’s Coach Kiprunning has just announced that his Sports Club is accepting new members.
