Looks like a run rest day
I went to 9rounds this morning to get back into doing cross-training since I'm feeling a lot better today. It was raining a bit with a little snow so I thought I would be able to get a run in this afternoon.
The workout was good. I wish my coaches would quite trying to constantly work cardio and legs. I could use more grip strength, shoulders, arms and abs!! I will have to start demanding it I guess. I felt really well and I'm still noticing my wrists and shoulders are no longer hurting!!! Its been years since my right side hasn't had shoulder and wrist pain. I almost don't know how to deal with the "normalcy."
The workout itself went well. With my wife (who keeps me in check) out of town I feel like I'm barely doing anything. I did grab extra weight for the squat/sprawl round. The abs round went very well with bicycles and alternating V-ups. I actually had a great time burning it out punching the bag. It seems like I don't get much time actually on the bag and I like hitting things. I'm very passive normally so its great therapy especially after driving home for an hour and a half every day through traffic or when work gets on my nerves.
Well on my way home the driving rain/snow started so I actually decided to not risk the ride and worked from home. It has actually gotten worse. The snow is starting to accumulate but its a driving snow/rain consistency which I just cant get myself to run through. I don't want to get sick before my wife gets home tomorrow night. So I decided to take a run rest day and hopefully it will blow over tomorrow and be back to 80 degrees. I've run 21 miles this week and still have the weekend so I could probably use the rest day! Besides its a spring snow day at that!! All I can say is at least it didn't snow last weekend for Spartan (it has snowed on Mothers day for three years in a row.) Well off to rest and relax a bit and hope tomorrow is a run day!!
