Roads go ever ever on
My first ever piece of calligraphy, with one of my favourite songs by Tolkien. I can't wait to see what it will become under the pen of the authors of @fall-for-tolkien's Scribbles and Drabbles.

With suggested pairings: Oropher/wife, Thranduil/wife, Thingol/Melian, Beren/Luthien, Dior/Nimloth, other Sindar characters &friends or /lovers (or Sindar & Teleri pairing)
Just a little preview of “Telerin Hospitality,” one of my claims for @fall-for-tolkien to be revealed in November.
Oh, I was much happier there, in those days. Unlike the Noldor, the Teleri celebrated a communal way of living; cooking, along with child-minding, laundry, and general merriment, were daily, ongoing group efforts. One could never be lonely in a Teleri household. Once I made it clear that I was of far greater use with a chef’s knife than the fisherman’s harpoon, even Telpe stopped pleading with me to join him out at sea. It was the sandstone kitchen bench that became my true home by the shores of Tol Eressëa.
The Eight-Pointed Star
My second submission for @fall-for-tolkien Scribbles & Drabbles 2025, a photograph of a mosaic laid in stone.
Prompt: Once it blazed on banners and armour, the mark of Fëanor’s house. But who stands over it? Is it a brother, a son who helped lay it down, lingering in exile or defiance? A descendant tracing lost lineage? Or a stranger, unaware of what they’ve found?

Númenorean dish, 6th century S.A
For @fall-for-tolkien's Scribbles and Drabbles
Dated from the 6th century of the Second Age, this dish depicting Vingilot saliling the skies as the star Gil-Estel is a prime example of early Númenorean painted pottery. But what is the story behind it?
Vána the Ever-young
For @fall-for-tolkien's Scribbles and Drabbles
Cosplay of Vána, the Valië of spring, inspired by Alphonse Mucha's work and John William Waterhouse's depictions of Circe. Click on the individual picture for an actual good image quality.
